I feel really stressed and overwhelmed because I feel like I don’t know things when I need to - can anyone help?
My LO is nearly 8 months and I want them to sleep in my room at the side of me until they are 12 months before going into the nursery. However, he now rolls and pushes up and is getting too big for the Tutti Bambini Cozee bedside crib. I didn’t know they are only designed for approx 6 months. I wish I had known about the TB Cozee XL pre baby but I can’t afford that now.
What does anyone else use if your baby is still in your room and past 6 months? Google and AI keeps bringing up travel cots but surely this isn’t great for long term sleeping.
Posted in a few groups because I don’t know where to post this sorry all!

We just put the crib that’d be in his nursery in our room x

What works for us and it's definitely something that you would want to do your own research about but we did a Montessori bed in a full-size instead of a twin. That way I could lay with them while they were falling asleep if they needed me, but was still able to escape when I needed to or sleep in their room comfortably when I needed to it is not for everybody, but it definitely helped me get through sleep training and the moving from being in our room to being in their own room! 🫶🏼

I literally just read on another post about this. A mom said they removed the side rail of their babes crib and put in up against their bed. The child has their own bed and still get the comfort of mom being right beside them.

Just pop a full size cot in your room lovely.
No reason why you can’t (unless ofc there’s a space issue, but if you can fit a travel cot then you should be fine).
When me and my partner had to move into his parents temporarily, our son had outgrown his snuzpod and he was just in his cot in our room. Worked absolutely fine!

We're using a cotbed with him still in our bedroom

We used our travel cot but with a proper cot mattress in it for a few weeks just to tide us over until we were ready to make the transition. I don’t know how this would be long term but it could be an option?

I was hesitant, but my baby slept for the first time in a crib overnight at 4.5mths.
She’s a great sleeper, but her room is right beside ours & I always kept her monitor with me & full volume.

They do big cribs - Next to me forever

My little boy (white/black Caribbean) has almost two hair textures, he has quite loose soft curls at the front but then an almost Afro texture in the back which goes wild. I use the only curls products for kids (shampoo, conditioner, detangle spray and styler) but after he sleeps it just goes crazy. It’s super knotty at the back so he doesn’t tolerate any brushing/combing - I only just manage with a fight when it’s wet.
Any tips on handling the back section? Heavy products don’t seem to work well given how soft it is in the front.

My little one is 2y 2m old. She has just all of a sudden stopped napping. Nursery told me they spend half hour with her and she won't sleep and same at home. I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

She’s 14 weeks. Yesterday we decided to try putting her to bed at 8pm (she usually just comes with us at around 10/11). So we bathed, boobed and transferred to bed by 8. We kept the room dark and she slept there for an hour before waking up. I then took her back with me but she continued sleeping until 11. Woke up at 11, had her nappy changed. All happy as can be. Then slept until 3. Breastfed. Nappy changed at 5. Breastfed. Slept until 7, breastfed. Still asleep now at 11am?
Is this normal? She’s still having wet nappies, feeding, etc. should I wake her? She started trying to roll to her front yesterday, so idk if she’s just tired from the workout 😅

It’s my daughter birthday next week and I was thinking about getting her a trike I really like the little Dutch one but then I’m thinking would I actually use it because it’s nearly winter so she’ll be in her pram a lot with foot muff and we don’t seem to go out a lot in pram whilst she’s awake.
Opinions if you’ve got one do you use it or waste of money?

My baby is really congested overnight. She’s always congested - but particularly more snorty after a bottle of Kendamil. She’s primarily breast fed with one bottle of formula a day in the afternoon. Her poops are also explosive and look like this. Does this look like CMPA, so sorry for the photo! Two first poops from two different mornings. Will add the second to the comments.

My baby girl is 4 days old today and for the past 2 days shes had 2 long night sleeps like 6/7 hours i know you are supposed to wake them up but i feed her extra throughout the day and before bed give her extra boob and when she wakes up asap, her weight looks good, like i know the whole point of waking up for the night feeds is to put on that extra weight but she is doing really well, plus it also helps me get the extra sleep as ive been really sleep deprived what do you think guys anyone else feel like this or is there a serious health issue with her sleeping this long throughout the night, we have her 5 day weigh in tomorrow maybe the nurse will tell me she is a lot bit maybe she will tell me she is okay im not too sure this is all so new to me 😁🙃
