So my 13 month old girl will only sleep if I put her to sleep. It means I can't have an night life where I go out with friends for a couple of hours. My partner thinks it's okay that I dont have a night life because he chooses to not have one, and sleeps early. I've told him that he needs to put her down to sleep atleast a couple times a week so she gets used to him during the night routine. Is anyone else having this issue?

I agree with you that he should keep trying. Even if you don't go out, at least you're free to do whatever else during that time.
Here we have the issue not because my partner doesn't want to try, but because she is very much in her "mama only" phase. He tried yesterday but she wouldn't settle when he used to put her to bed before with no issue. It's exhausting but he keeps trying and hopefully she'll grow out of that phase.
I hope your partner understands your point of view and tries more! If not maybe book a night out and he's just gonna have to deal with it! đ€·ââïž
It's so hard when they dont settle and then the mum guilt sets in! But I think it's just a case of consistency and riding it out lol x
My partner does his own washing (great!) and I do mine and our toddlerâs.
Sometimes I put toddlerâs clothes straight in the washing machine if they are ditched, with a view that Iâll do a load later.
But this morning, my partner needed to do a load of washing and instead of washing our toddlerâs clothes with his (toddler had a vest, jumper, and a top), my partner took our toddlerâs clothes out, put them on the side, so he could wash his own clothes???
Why not just chuck our toddlerâs clothes in with his?
This has happened twice now and heâs never washed our toddlers clothes

Husband wants me to stay off my phone when breastfeeding day or night. He says the phone is too close to the baby's head. Husband is annoyed that I said No. I'm up doing nights and baby's in my arms and I should stay off my phone. Ridiculous. He said i should read or listen to something instead.

Thoughts? Anyone else doing this.
FYI i'm not on my phone all feeds. Just at 3 something in the morning when I have had minimal sleep yes I am on my phone trying to stay awake.

Controversial one and I canât believe Iâm going to say this but I miss daughter waking up in the night. Sheâs always been a 6:30-7:30pm to bed kinda baby. But sheâd wake up twice a night.
However all of a sudden sheâs started sleeping through but the catch is she goes to sleep after 9pm. By the time weâve put her to bed and go ourselves sorted there isnât much of an evening left to spend with my husband.
We used to cook together and watch films or box sets and chat. Itâs done wonder for keeping our love life going as weâve navigated becoming parents. But now we almost donât have any down time together.
We get up around 6:15am for our jobs so itâs not realistic for us to be staying up much later.
Has anyone else experienced similar?

My little girl is 15 weeks and for the last 3ish weeks has been fighting every day time nap, and bedtime.
She doesnât have strict wake windows and I just follow her sleepy cues, which are usually rubbing eyes, yawning, and staring into space. When she gets to this point I will give her her dummy to soothe into sleep, but she resists it to the point I have to rock her whilst she screams for 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.
She only wakes twice in the night around 1:30 for a feed and again at 6:30.
Is there a way to stop this or will she just naturally learn to fall asleep peacefully one day? đ

What are we doing with these 4am wake ups let them play in cot while go back to sleep? Try get them back to sleep? Or just give up entirely and start your day đđ«

My little one is about to turn one and I know I need to be reducing her formula intake. She does eat well but there is always a concern she isnât eating everything she needs nutritionally. She currently has 4 150ml bottles a day. 1st one about 05:45 and the final one before bed and tooth brushing. She loves her milk so I know it will be hard to reduce. My aim is to lose the day bottles first.
