No movement 20 weeks

Hi, I’m almost 20 weeks pregnant and haven’t felt anything yet, no flutters, bubbles etc
I don’t have an anterior placenta so is this normal?
My 20 week scan is on Monday but I’m so worried as everyone saying I should have felt something by now

I had this with my 2nd and I didn’t have an anterior and I always called the midwife as I needed the reassurance. Mums always right if you feel something is off there’s no harm in checking. I’d say give midwife a call see what they say as you don’t want to feel anxious as that’s not good either x

I didn't feel anything properly until about 24 weeks. And she hasn't stopped moving since!

I’ve only just started feeling at 22 weeks. Xx

I had anterior placenta with my second and didn’t feel any movements until around 28 weeks, this is very much normal x

You’ll be fine darling. 20 weeks is early. I felt the first movements at 25 weeks and then from then onwards this baby never stopped moving lol. I also dont have an anterior placenta. It’s just caus baby has a lot of space to move around so harder to feel right now.

I didn't start to feel anything until 24+... Remember being paranoid always

I have a posterior placenta, and I started to feel movements around 21 weeks, never felt flutters etc before then x

I didnt feel my baby move until 22 to 24 weeks so dont be worried 1st time mums dont feel anything early as its hard to distinguish moves but you find alot of woman who are pregnant with their second or 3rd ect could feel it alot earlier as they will know the signs

I went into our maternity assessment centre with reduced movement (23 weeks) and other symptoms. Baby fine and dr said many women don’t feel any movement until 24 weeks. If you still haven’t felt them move, that’s normal and nothing to be alarmed about.

Saying that, our MAC unit said you can always go in and get their heart checked if you are anxious. If you are losing sleep or worrying excessively, go in and ask them to listen! Or even just give them a call and ask.

There was a lady next to me at triage the other day and she couldn't feel anything. But on the CTG monitor you can hear when the baby moves and the midwife said that should give her some comfort that even though she is not feeling it yet, baby is moving away.

Like others have said, if you're anxious, then give them a call. Even if just for you're own piece of mind

Thank you everyone! It’s really helpful knowing other people didn’t feel anything until later too ❤️

I think I was about 24 weeks, is it your first? I also had felt things and now looking back I think they may had been my son but I had no idea, you may have the same. Try not to worry but you could always give triage a call if you are worried. Xxx

I’m so unobservant, I was talking to my brother that I haven’t felt the baby. He commented that I’m like dad and am so unaware of my own body.
That night I felt baby move. The next day I saw my belly move.
Can’t remember how many weeks, but obviously quite late.

Newborn essentials

Went into Mama’s and Papa’s yesterday but found it so overwhelming. Anyone have any recommendations of things we absolutely need for the newborn and what you couldn’t live with out? Which pushchair did you go for? There’s so much to choose from! First time mama needs help 💖

Confused by gender

Hey! Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar

I’ve had two blood tests one at 9 weeks and another at 10 weeks and both came back showing girl chromosomes. However, whenever my doctor looks at baby on the scan, he can clearly see a nub between the legs. It was still really obvious at our most recent 12-week scan too!

Has anyone had this happen where the blood tests say girl but the scans have looked more like a boy? Did it become clearer later on?

We’re now waiting until our 16-week scan to see if anything changes 💕

NHS & appointments

I had my ‘booking’ in appointment yesterday over the phone and they set up my app and things. I have an appointment on there for 16 weeks but I still can’t see a 12 week appointment?

Is this normal?

Period at 3and a half weeks PP

I’m convinced my period came back on Friday, but when I’ve googled it it says it’s just the PP bleeding. But that stopped over a week and a half ago (had a C-Section). I know it can start up again but this feels very different. I have had a migraine (only get them when I’m on my period), constipation and the pattern of the bleeding is exactly like my periods used to be. Could this be possible? Baby is 4 weeks old tomorrow.

People touching buggy

FTM and find that people keep touching my buggy like it’s public property every week.

They will move it out of the way, use it as a crutch, walk by and just grab it for to reason, try to squeeze past it or over when I make a hand gesture that I’m actively moving it out of their way. All while my baby is inside it and usually asleep.

It always happens so fast that I can’t even react. As an adult, I wouldn’t come and touch your vehicle...

Does this happen to anyone else?

SVT during pregnancy

Hello!
Has anyone ever had an SVT during pregnancy? I have no underlying heart issues and no family history, however last week my heart raised to 151bpm and stayed like it for hours. Had to call an ambulance and be kept in A&E overnight - was given adenosine to bring it down but it was very scary. I’m 21 weeks. I’m going to have an echocardiogram to see if there’s anything underlying. Thankfully baby boy is fine! Just wondering if anyone has ever had this as it’s made me so worried?
