So I have a 2.5 y/o and recently went back to work FT. I’m finding I don’t socialize as much as I really should and I don’t think it’s healthy as I have no balance. I only have a few close friends that I don’t see regularly and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on things I could do to socialize more? I just feel like I need something else in my life. For reference, it also may be tough for me to find childcare as my parents watch her when she’s not in nursery. I love reading and thought about book club but don’t know one in my area, I also like working out, cooking, and walking. Any ideas would be helpful!

You could try starting conversations with me co-workers and ask about things they might be into like movies, books, music and see if you can relate to anything they say, or you could see if you can relate worth anyone about being a new mom. You could also look for things in your community, like things posted in meetup or on Facebook even.

Have you googled book clubs in your area, there might be one which offers new people you haven't met before. A hobby group could be an option too or joining an exercise class locally.

Join your hobby or in my case i made friends through play groups

I go salsa dancing every Friday, but I have the hubby at night putting the baby to sleep then he sleeps through since 18m, that’s when I took up my salsa lessons. Bestie goes poker every Friday, another friend goes tai kwon do she’s single so she brings her boy along, my other friend goes photography group every Sat for 3hrs they meet take photos have lunch then go home. Sister does boxing and yoga, she just started heels classes. I have another gf that goes gym twice a week but she doesn’t gym she chills in the sauna and spa and sometimes a fitness class when she feels like it. All have kids, we either have the hubby or sister or MIL in our lives, some of my single mum friends moved back in w their Mum/sister so that’s how they manage to do hobbies. Or they coparent and go on their weekend ex has the kids
Where the freak mamas @??? I need tips on how to spice up me and my husbands s*x life?! It’s great atm but I just want it to be the best ever😂

lol I have came to the conclusion that I will probably not make any more friends. I’ve tried to make real connections and things didn’t work out. I sometimes wish I did have someone I could hang out with and vent too but it’s ok.

Out of all the groups on here this is my favourite but I know everyone is scattered across the UK in here. Has anyone successfully met up and made friends? Been trying to find my Mum tribe since before I had my baby lol

Has anyone received the depo shot BC? How did it make you feel etc? What about an IUD? I’m terrified getting one after my c-section.
