Have you tried co-sleeping? Mine wouldn't for the first two weeks. I ended up co-sleeping in bed. Look up safe co-sleeping but essentially I c-shaped round her. Was it the best sleep, no, but it was sleep and that's all I needed. Eventually we transitioned to the bedside cot.

We had the same with our newborn. We found swaddling worked. Also, we had a Rockit pram rocker which we attached to her Moses basket and had it on low so that when we transitioned her down she was still getting a rocking motion! We tried anything just to get a few hours of sleep!

I was the same with my LB, like some have already said we tried swaddling in the end, which helped.

Swaddling is the only way I can get my baby down.

So I had to put my bassinet from my buggy inside my next to me. And my baby will only sleep on his tummy.

I don’t have any advice but I just want to say I’m in the same boat. My little boy was born via c section on Monday and has cluster fed since the minute he was born and will not go down for love nor money. I can’t try swaddling yet as it’s not fair to wake my husband every half hour to unswaddle when he feeds, and I’m still too sore to do it myself😬 Please do feel free to message me if you need somebody to cry to, or even to just message at stupid o’clock in the morning💙

Both my kids would only sleep on their tummy neither slept until that point xx

Are you using a next to me crib at all? Sometimes babies sleep a little better in close proximity. In the day you could consider using a sling or carrier. If you do manage to get baby down at any point in the day, prioritize sleeping at the same time for now - other chores can usually wait. Do you have someone else at home with you? Can they help you a little at the moment, meal prepping, making sure you have nutritious snacks and ensuing you have taken supplements so you feel better in your health.

I gave birth on 01/02/26 & it’s been like this for me ever since. To get sleep I have to give my bub to my mum or partner for 2 hours where I can go upstairs to sleep. He screams the whole time but I have to put headphones in & sleep.

Oh this is so hard! We were in exactly the same situation. Me and my husband took shifts holding him through the night just to get some sleep. Look into chest sleeping. The happy co-sleeper is great for this. You're not doing anything wrong! Babies just feel most safe with you

Can baby daddy help at all with shifts? Or anyone? Even in day so you have more resilience at night?
It's so brutal right now. You are really in the trenches. I'm sorry it's a struggle.
Babies are so scared all they know is your scent, or touch, your heartbeat, your warmth, your breathing. It tells them they are safe. Understanding why it's so tough right now.
Please ask someone in your life for help and ask for strong pain killers if you need them. You deserve to have pain management and support in this time.

Mine you’ll only transfer to the next to me if she was fully asleep, 20-40 min of sleeping on me.
Then transfer feet/bum first.
Then you can keep hand and cheek agains them a few min and slowly pull back.
Otherwise people say transfer drowsy but awake, but it never worked for us.
But the first few weeks was killer! We you’ll turns staying up with her on our chest.
If your partner is home, or comes home early enough, let him look after her for 1 hour or so and go nap!
Help I’m honestly going crazy. Baby boy was getting 3-4 hour stretches at night until a few days ago where he started getting so much fussier, cluster feeding all night and only doing 2 hour stretches WITHOUT nay naps in the evening also. I’m going insane. Please tell me it gets a bit better again

My boy has always been a terrible sleeper and ever never really noticed a sleep regression with how bad his sleep is anyway but my lord he’s up every 10-15 mins and by 12-3am he won’t go back Off at all he’s literally getting 1-2 hours a night or constant broken sleep and fighting is this normal? Any tips?

I use the Huckleberry app, and a lot of the advice for daytime naps seems to be blackout curtains, white noise, etc. But that feels a bit excessive to me when it’s the middle of the day, so I’m looking for more realistic advice.
My baby is 3.5 months old and actually sleeps quite well at night. He usually only wakes 2–3 times to breastfeed. We used to co-sleep, but he has recently moved into a next-to-me cot and is doing well there at night.
Daytime naps are a completely different story! He pretty much refuses to sleep anywhere except his BabyBjörn bouncer. Please don’t come at me about the bouncer, I sit right beside him and watch him closely the entire time.
The problem is that because I have to stay there watching him, I can’t get anything done while he naps.
Has anyone managed to get their baby to nap in a cot during the day without completely blacking out the room? I’d love realistic tips on what actually helped your babies sleep during the day in a normal, light room. Did they eventually just get used to it? Any routines or tricks that worked for you?

I know we definitely won’t give a bath right away, what is the recommended time to give baby an actual bath(instead of sponge bath)

My baby has never been a ‘good’ sleeper, longest stretch she’s done in 5 months is about 5 hours. But currently she seems to going through the 4 month sleep regression at 5 months? Shes also teething and I think that is making her even more restless, the longest we’re getting is about 2 hours then after midnight she’s up almost every hour. My partner gets up with her half the night but because she’s in the next to me I hear every moment/moan/cry. My brain feels like it’s melting. My patience for everything is wearing thin. Anyone else struggling and or been through this and is out the other side?
