Potty training

Started 3 weeks ago was going great he was getting the hang if it I sat him in the potty every 30 minutes, he even started going on his own when he needed to, but I feel like every time he’s been in nursery we are back at square one( because he’s not potty trained and not close to asking for the toilet on his own he has to wear a nappy) so after he’s been he’s not interested in the potty, our little system we had just out the window and very difficult to get back into the rhythm of it, but when he’s wearing underwear he can tell me when he’s peeing, like he will come to me and saying he’s peeing is that progress dispite the step backs we are having, I just don’t know what to think I just feel defeated with it all

Some kids will grasp it straight away as if it’s a new skill and once they learn it they put it on the back burner. Maybe worth asking your nursery to start making extra effort with him going to the potty even if he’s in nappies. I do feel sometimes nursery are hard to work with but at the end of the day they should only take on as many kids as they feel they can give 1-1 time on throughout the day. They should be working with you. Maybe ask for a plan so you both can work together. Don’t give up just keep trying. My daughter grasped potty training instantly but she did go through a stage where I felt it went completely out the window like she unlearned it. But eventually they will go back to it x

I would stop putting him on the potty every 30 minutes because thats not going to be doable at nursery and is not recommended as an effective approach in the oh crap potty training book I read. He needs to learn that the wee feeling means he needs to go to the potty, this learning will be diluted if he keeps being put on there and sometimes he goes and sometimes he doesnt. Also him wearing nappies at nursery will undo all the work youve done at home. Id really recommend the oh crap potty training book for refining your approach and it also has a section for troubleshooting various issues x

NEED TO RANT

My husband and I have recently come abroad with our baby to meet his parents and family. We have been here 1 day and he has gone out drinking with his friends. I wouldn’t mind usually except he came home at 8:30pm drunk looking for a bottle of alcohol. His mum enables him and they were opening every cupboard imaginable and making so much noise that he woke our baby up. Our baby who hasn’t slept today due to the amount of visitors we have had. He then got his drink and left again. He left the room in such a mess as well. He didn’t even apologise for waking our child up showing he doesn’t care at all.

I’m fed up because we have come to see his family and introduce our baby. I don’t speak the language either so there’s a barrier. Most of them are telling me what to do (using arm gestures etc so we understand each other) and I’m lonely. It’s not a break or holiday for me. I enjoy myself more at home. I know while I’m here I’ll just be stuck inside at home every day and that isn’t what I want for me and my baby.

I feel like I want out of my marriage. Am I wrong with how I feel? x

Husband wants to go on a trip 37 weeks pregnant

Just reached 37 weeks today. Husband wants to go visit his parents because he won’t see them for a while (they’re not visiting and we are only going to see them in feb). He thinks it’s doable. I’m very hurt and don’t feel prioritized. What to say

Son having pain

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone's son has experienced testicle/penis pain as a toddler? My 2 year old son has been commenting on his penis hurting at night but he hasn't seemed like he was in pain so I wondered if it was just discomfort with his diaper because he's showing signs of readiness for potty training.
The last day he has been showing signs that he's in pain and saying it hurts under his penis (assuming his testicles).
Wondering if I should take him in or if this is normal? My older son has never had any pain complaints but I know every child is different so it may be normal for some kids?
He's not circumcized if that matters and he's not having any other symptoms other than the pain

Am I wrong

So I am a 38 year old female with 3 kids and one being autistic. My two youngest’s dad says he wants more kids with me. I told him no I don’t want anymore kids. I had so much complications with my last son had to have an emergency c section. I am still having so much pain and still have pain from the c-section after 6 years they sued up a piece of my uterus wall when they were closing me back up. So now he mad at me cause I said no I don’t want anymore kids

Just over it..

Seems like alot of women go through the same thing it's basically normalised..I'm so tired of complaining about this or even trying to get through to my partner. Basically the constant work load of the home.. the mess the clutter the picking up after everyone else I just dont know what to do anymore or what to think.. I'm not working so that's what I tell myself to keep me sane.. it's not that serious coz he's working and tired. But it's so much deeper than that, just because he works should I have to pick up after him like ine of my kids.. its not changing I've voiced this again and again and I'm done. At the end of the day it really is affecting mental health because I feel I can't keep up and therefore like a failure. Sorry for the rant, any advice? X
