Get her checked for torticollis, that usually is a cause for plagiocephaly. Do lots & lots of tummy time. We had a little pillow for my son when he had it, but not sure the pillow ever helped. He ended up needing a helmet for a couple months.

Speak with your GP as they will give you recommendations and advice on the right treatment or things you can do at home but take note that NHS don’t recommend helmets to adjust the head shape as there isn’t much evidence that it works. There is recommendations like doing tummy time, changing positions for holding baby and when they sleep try to get them to alternate which side they sleep on each night. As well as not being in the pram or car seat for long periods of time.

Under the NHS there is not much you can do aside from checking their sleep position.

BTW there is evidence to support the use of helmets for some degree of plagiocephaly in babies but the NHS doesn't cover it. In other countries babies who need it get it and if you think it is needed you can get them privately.

We had to get a helmet and the cause was that she had torticollis and was born 6 weeks early. We got her helmet private at 4 months old and cost a fortune and only lasted 4 weeks before she grew out of it. So I’d wait till baby is 7+ months

PLAGIOCEPHALY
My son also has it with a 12mm difference from left to right. He is 3 months old and the physio said just to encourage turning his head the to the other side as much as possible. She gave us an exercise to turn his head with a toy 10 times every time we change a nappy(in the day time).

I think the more tummy time the better and try limiting laying down or in the car seat/rocker/pram if possible..so holding them is another option if your back permits!

I'm not seeing much difference..and looking to buy a pillow and side sleeper pillow to help also.

The physio said it should get better as he ages and I guess can sit up more/do more tummy time..I sure do hope so!

To the parents out there, who have experienced this, when does it start to get better? At how many months? What did you find works? Can you please share your experiences 🙏🏼🙂

My september baby is finally here

My gorg girl is finally here due sept 29th born on the 7th sept 01:59 weighing a gorg 3870g, i went into spontaneous labour on tuesday morning woke up with the worst contractions which throughout the day got worse got to the hospital was 6cm dilated, made it to 9cm unmedicated before baby girl decided to go back to back in the last 1cm!! Bare in mind she was in the same position since 26weeks ahaha they knew her shoulder was going to get stuck and she was born with shoulder dystocia but no broken bones or sprains! So i had to get the epidural- anyone pregnant with a back to back baby the back contractions were the worst pain i ever felt in my life… anyways, forceps later and a small episiotomy as well - which literally after a day its healing really well down there and her tiny forceps scars are healing well as well. We are both so well and the hospital did an amazing job, another reason for epidural was they had to get her out quick as her heart rate was dropping so i had to push like asap they gave me 5 mins before the red button was pressed and a bunch of doctors ran in ahah, so far from my birth plan as i wanted to do 100% unmediated and in a water pool but at least i didn’t end up in c section and managed to push baby girl out! One of the hardest things ive ever done in my life but she is perf ❤️

Dummy - do I don’t I?!?!

Help - my 4 week old has hit an episode every night now without fail that she is waking up every hour/2 for a feed which I think is ok for this age? But she is such a struggle to get back down to sleep and just makes constant squeals moans for about an extra hour before she is in proper sleep - would a dummy help her settle ? Can we introduce only at night?!

Speech

How many words does your 18mo have? We've got about 6/7 and have been told by nursery and the health visitor thats the lower end/slightly behind. She understands very well, but rarely uses the words she knows and was a late babbler.

Just wondering if anyone else had been through the same with any advice to help her speech?

Need some advice

My baby is on cow and gate and has been for the last 2 weeks. I introduced breast alongside but she is refusing to latch because of the confusion and is getting frustrated when I’m trying to feed. However I’ve now stopped (for my mental state) she’s now showing signs of being very uncomfortable and straining and isn’t pooing until over 48 hours. We have been to the doctors and they have said because she is showing signs of uncomfortableness and straining to switch formulas. However they said not to use cow and gate comfort as it sits in the stomach longer.

Does anyone have any recommendations for formula that will help her bowels?

Poonami proof nappies

Hey ladies!
I am a woman on the edge. My baby has not had a single poo in the last 3 days that hasn’t escaped out of her nappy somehow. We’re using pampers which are supposed to be poonami proof! Is my baby just an aggressive pooper?!
Thoughts, prayers and advice needed please ❤️
