I know there have been a lot of posts about recipe suggestions but I was just wondering what people do for lunch for thier Cmpa babies.
I seem to be ok for dinner but lunch I find tricky. I do things like avocado on toast and pasta just wondering what everyone is doing as a lot of quick recipes have cheese in them (not a fan of dairy free cheese š

I see so man fun recipes with cheese!
We do tuna jacket potatoes with sweet or normal potato and I mix dairy free yoghurt with the tuna, or the same with chicken and yoghurt, or leftover curry with a potato, slices of cucumber with hummus, scrambled eggs on toast, sometimes just a random plate of things, as they don't really know that it's not a "meal"
Tbh mostly I use the theory my baby doesn't know the difference between breakfast lunch and dinner so will also give him banana pancakes, egg bites without the cheese in, porridge made with coconut milk, leftover dinner from the night before, or toast with avocado or peanut butter and some fruit and veg puree to go with it, and sometimes I'll even just make a bigger breakfast and give him the second half for lunch.
What is everyoneās opinion on this?
For the record, I work 7.30-4.30 Monday to Thursday and my 11 month old goes to nursery 2 days a week on the 30 free childcare hours.
Iāve been thinking of asking my nursery if I can put my baby in on a Friday, even if itās just for half a day. Iām so shattered and the house is a tip. Sheās never been the happiest baby either from birth and I feel like Iām running on so little fumes now, it would be nice to have a couple of hours to myself to sort the house/ batch cook dinners etc but I feel like doing this massive awful thing by doing this. Sheās just never happy and cries majority of the day and I think I just need a little break every now and again to keep my sanityā¦

So I have older children (15,10) I now have a 5 month old, I decided to wean at 4 months. But now the guidelines are strictly 6 monthsā¦.Anyone eles started at 4 months? I did tiny spoons of baby 4+ porridge in the morning (3 max) soon as she turned 4 months. Now at 5 months she wants food! She loves food! Iām still only doing 5 maybe tiny spoons of say baby porridge in the morning, and blended veg in the eve while we have our tea. She still has 4/5 bottles during the day and her bedtime bottle.
In the next few weeks up to 6 months I plan to do blw where she helps herself to soft solids.
Please no judgement just interested to know if thereās many other people who weaned (a little!) from 4 months? š

I never planned on having my daughter watch screens this early, but we wanted her to sleep with loud sounds right away so she's used to it and wouldn't wake up from small things and it definitely worked. She is just like my fiancĆ© it makes me laugh sometimes. The way she sleeps and eats is just like him too. Sheāll sit in her bouncer or swing and watch SpongeBob for hours now. It's her favorite show and I canāt get over it. she even laughs and reacts to it, it's so funny. It calms her down when sheās fussy sometimes, and she really loves the music. I can't wait until she's older so i can show her what my favorite shows were growing up, like strawberry shortcakeš or the barbie movies š
Do any of your little ones have a show they're interested in yet? Or specific music they like?

My LO started weaning on purĆ©es at about 4.5months (under doctor advice as he was a hungry boy and had reflux), weāre now introducing BLW as heās 6 months old but Iām just wondering how many meals I should be offering him a day? With purĆ©es, he started on once a day but now has them 2-3 times a day along with his usual milk intake. Is this too much? Heās not sick and has always been a generally hungry baby but thereās so much conflicting information and I donāt want to be overfeeding him either as I have a feeling heās going to be a greedy boy! š¤£

My husband has a chance to get me into his job. Iām a SAHM to a 2 year old girl currently, and while I love it, I also love working. The problem is, itās Monday-Saturday from 7-6, but the drive is another 3 hours. So weād wake up at 5, drive an hour and a half to drop her off at daycare around 6:30, then work for 11 hours, pick her back up before 6:30, then be home by 8. I was so excited until I realized thatās insane, I canāt even spend time with my daughter that way, at all. Currently she goes to sleep at 10 pm, wakes up at 10 am. Weād have to wreck her schedule, and even then, she wouldnāt be getting enough sleep, let alone dinner, bath, and time with us. I donāt think itās worth it, and Iām upset I noticed this a few days into talking about me getting a job with him. He said itāll be embarrassing to tell his coworkers that I decided not to take the job, and I get that, but Iām also angry. He knew this wouldnāt work. Heās done stuff like this a few times, saying I can get a job but then saying Iād have to make enough to pay all the bills so he can quit because āone of us needs to be with her at all times.ā Iām definitely not taking this job, because itād hurt our daughter. But itās so frustrating, we talked about me getting a job so much and itās like he says it to please me and then rips it away. Some might think Iām a bad mom for wanting to work instead of being with her all day, but it just helps me keep my mind straight and gives me energy. I hate feeling like Iām just a mom (thereās nothing wrong with just being a mom, just my personal preference) and heās known how I felt about this for years, before I even got pregnant. Iād be content with a job that would just cover daycare and gas, and heās been against it ever since she was born. I feel like Iām going crazy, because even while I was pregnant he would always say that he didnāt mind me working something like that, but it changed so fast. Am I crazy? Who knows.
