FET

We’ve just had our second transfer and found out that it’s sadly failed, wondered if anyone has had similar circumstances and if they changed anything for a successful third transfer?

Hi Laura.
We had a difficult time my with my first child. We did our first cycle and only got one embryo that we did a fresh transfer that failed. Then did another cycle and did 2 x natural FET that resulted in one chemical and one BFN. We then did a medicated FET that resulted in my first child (4th transfer). It’s incredibly hard to keep going but it only takes one!
DM me if you need anything x

Hey Laura I’m just about to have my third transfer after first failed and second ended in a chemical 💔 so following in case anyone comes up with a great suggestion but I think generally it’s nothing we can do at this stage, the clinic will only transfer if the lining is where it should be so the rest is up to the embryo and fate I guess! Hope you’re holding up ok! X

Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)

After BP checks came back higher than normal, I was sent to maternity triage for further checks. My bloods came back fine except ALT which was at 35. Normal range is 0-34.

Has anyone had experience of this and what does it mean?

I have two further BP appointments booked for Saturday and next Monday. I’ll be 29 weeks tomorrow.

Limited help from village

Any mamas here who have very little help from their village and have one or more children? How do you cope?

My family lives abroad and they are so willing to help, but unfortunately due to the distance and time apart, they can't help us much and can only do so when they visit us or if we go and visit them. My in laws live about 40 mins drive but even when we meet, they don't really help and it's more like social visits. I wished it was swapped around that my parents were the ones who were closer to us so they could help us time and time again. We thought of having a second one before, but I really don't know how we can cope given the very limited support we have currently.

Feeling all the feels

Oct 19th would have been the due date for the baby I miscarried at the beginning of the year. Also currently in the 2 week wait of this TTC cycle. Feeling sad, angry and overwhelmed. There would be something so beautiful about getting a positive this month but I can’t help but feel guilty and scared. Trying to remain positive and focus on our son but the background noise is relentless

Frozen embryo transfer in February

Is anyone planning to do a frozen embryo transfer in February.
We’ve just got our consultant appointment through for November then hopefully we’ll be starting treatment on my January cycle.

Looking for people in the same boat that I can talk to as we are keeping it a secret from family.

Thank you
