My daughter played with her baby dolls a ton when I had my second at that age and I actually think her mimicking what I was doing helped her bond with the baby. Is it weird if I give him a baby doll?

My 3 yr old son takes care of his plushie Mickey Mouse like I do his baby brother… I feed baby and he says he needs to feed his and then I burp my baby and he does too . I think giving him a doll could work out well

I got my little boy a baby doll and pushchair for Christmas, he loves pushing it around it's adorable! This is a lovely idea, may help him to adjust if he has his own baby he can feed/rock like mummy

I bought my toddler son a baby doll for Christmas.

Personally I see nothing wrong and think it's a great idea!
But
Do you know your neighbors well enough?? Do you think it'll be received well to give their son a doll?? Some people just get really weird about boys playing with "girl toys" and I would hope that's not the case
I definitely think they would appreciate the gift, we are relatively good friends, but we are new friends so I started to second guess myself.
Thanks everyone! I’ll bring him the doll. I have a couple of things for their new baby, and I always felt like my daughter noticed that and felt left out when baby got things and she wasn’t considered at all. I know it’s not expected, but I also know they’ve been really nervous of how he’ll connect with baby. I’ll go ahead and give him the doll, I think the family will appreciate it.

I think yes to giving the baby doll but also along with the explanation of why in that you are aiming to support the bonding between siblings. Some people love it, some people (without the explanation) may see it as trying to push ideals onto babies (I don’t fyi but I know I’ve had dumbass comments from my family about “feminising boys” sigh!)
Hi all, does anyone have recommendations for a good nappy for nights? 3 month old is sleeping in good stretches but nappies can’t keep up. Tried Aldi and pampers and now on Sainsbury’s and they are great in day but not at night?! Thanks so much

How many times a month in the first year postpartum do you and your husband have sex? (Trying to figure out what the normal range is for partners with a baby!)

My three month old cries before every nap. He’s fine in the night when fed to sleep, but before every single day nap there is 5-25 minutes of crying. We follow wake windows as best we can but it doesn’t seem to matter whether he’s awake one hour or three hours!
Did anyone else have this, and has come out the other side?

If your partner didn’t force you to go to bed at a certain time, but got annoyed if you went to bed before he was ready or wanted to stay down for longer when he wants to go to bed, would that be considered controlling? Seeing as there’s no forcing involved just getting annoyed by it?

Hey! I’m really interested to hear people’s thoughts/experiences with swaddling for newborns? I’ve heard it’s supposed to be great to keep them relaxed etc but also was told yesterday it’s not a method that they use anymore which is completely new to me!! Any thoughts?

My baby girl is sleeping from 10-5:30/6:30. Just wondering if I should let sleep I try to wake her to feed but she has no interest in feeding.
She’s also reached well above her birth weight she was born 3.2kg and is bow 5.6kg.
I’m just concerned that the GP saying to still wake her for feeds was more of a developmental reason that a weight reason.
Has anyone else experienced this?
