Naps

I genuinely don’t understand how some 6 month old are on 2 naps. I can’t even get off 4 most days… wake at 6:00/6:30 and bed usually 7:30ish. Naps are to short

Same... my LO doesn't nap well during the day either 😕 maybe 45 minute naps every now and then and doesn't sleep all through the night..

My girl is taking 2 1hr+ naps and then little 15 minute dozes. She wakes at 5a sleeps from 8-9ish and then 12-1:30ish and goes to bed at 6:30-7

lol yeah no way. My baby’s nighttime schedule is very consistent but his naps are still just whenever he is sleepy 🤷🏽‍♀️ sometimes it’s a solid 1 hr+ but usually more like 20-30 min!

Same. We finally have a solid bedtime/nighttime routine but the naps are inconsistent and usually 30mins are less. Every now and then we will get a solid hour, but that’s every blue moon.

Check for wake windows

I caved and gave into paying for the premium membership on huckleberry and their suggested nap times are spot on for my girl. Before she was just taking 20 minute cat naps here and there but now she’ll go down for 1.5 hours 3x a day.

Thanks everyone for normalizing the sleep trends of our 6 month olds! My baby is the same.. cat naps about 4 times. I’m lucky if I get 45 mins. Doesn’t sleep through the night. When will we sleep? Lol

Yea my baby takes decent length naps but there is no way we are getting 3 hour wake windows until the last one before bed. First wake window I can barely get 2 hours

My september baby is finally here

My gorg girl is finally here due sept 29th born on the 7th sept 01:59 weighing a gorg 3870g, i went into spontaneous labour on tuesday morning woke up with the worst contractions which throughout the day got worse got to the hospital was 6cm dilated, made it to 9cm unmedicated before baby girl decided to go back to back in the last 1cm!! Bare in mind she was in the same position since 26weeks ahaha they knew her shoulder was going to get stuck and she was born with shoulder dystocia but no broken bones or sprains! So i had to get the epidural- anyone pregnant with a back to back baby the back contractions were the worst pain i ever felt in my life… anyways, forceps later and a small episiotomy as well - which literally after a day its healing really well down there and her tiny forceps scars are healing well as well. We are both so well and the hospital did an amazing job, another reason for epidural was they had to get her out quick as her heart rate was dropping so i had to push like asap they gave me 5 mins before the red button was pressed and a bunch of doctors ran in ahah, so far from my birth plan as i wanted to do 100% unmediated and in a water pool but at least i didn’t end up in c section and managed to push baby girl out! One of the hardest things ive ever done in my life but she is perf ❤️

Dummy - do I don’t I?!?!

Help - my 4 week old has hit an episode every night now without fail that she is waking up every hour/2 for a feed which I think is ok for this age? But she is such a struggle to get back down to sleep and just makes constant squeals moans for about an extra hour before she is in proper sleep - would a dummy help her settle ? Can we introduce only at night?!

Speech

How many words does your 18mo have? We've got about 6/7 and have been told by nursery and the health visitor thats the lower end/slightly behind. She understands very well, but rarely uses the words she knows and was a late babbler.

Just wondering if anyone else had been through the same with any advice to help her speech?

Need some advice

My baby is on cow and gate and has been for the last 2 weeks. I introduced breast alongside but she is refusing to latch because of the confusion and is getting frustrated when I’m trying to feed. However I’ve now stopped (for my mental state) she’s now showing signs of being very uncomfortable and straining and isn’t pooing until over 48 hours. We have been to the doctors and they have said because she is showing signs of uncomfortableness and straining to switch formulas. However they said not to use cow and gate comfort as it sits in the stomach longer.

Does anyone have any recommendations for formula that will help her bowels?

Poonami proof nappies

Hey ladies!
I am a woman on the edge. My baby has not had a single poo in the last 3 days that hasn’t escaped out of her nappy somehow. We’re using pampers which are supposed to be poonami proof! Is my baby just an aggressive pooper?!
Thoughts, prayers and advice needed please ❤️
