So I have been pumping regularly and am 5 weeks postpartum but I haven’t been as frequent with pumping as I should have been; often going 6-10 hours without pumping. I can’t tell my milk supply has dropped recently. Can I still increase my supply at 5 weeks postpartum or is it too late now?

The best way to increase supply is pumping consistently every 3 hours during the day I go 4 at night just to get a little rest. The only way to increase supply is increase in demand which means you need to have effective milk removal

You can definitely build your supply back up, it’s the first 6 weeks are the best to build supply, try to pump every 3 hours and throw in a power pump a day and a 3am pump for good measure as that’s when your hormones are at their peak ☺️

I significantly increased my at 12/13 weeks. So def still a very good time to do 6 weeks xx

I’m 13 weeks postpartum and increased my supply as soon as I started pumping more frequently.. you’ll be fine xx

do you have any advice to increase at 13 weeks? I Wasn’t regular at pumping till now ☹️

Please May I ask at which week did you start pumping more frequently?

You can still increase it, if may take a little longer.
If you can use a manual pump as often as you can...the electric portable ones are great for when your out. However thr manual ones removes milk alot better as you genrally need to massage boobs aswell.
I have been doing things to increase my supply and today i have managed to pump 44oz!
I have been eating porridge every morning made with coconut milk and also making my morning coffee with oatmilk.
Obvious ones staying hydrated eating enough
Pump every 3 hours ( even if hardly anything comes out)
Then a 1 hour power pump between 1am-5am
If i get the chance during the day ill chuck in another also
My partner does his own washing (great!) and I do mine and our toddler’s.
Sometimes I put toddler’s clothes straight in the washing machine if they are ditched, with a view that I’ll do a load later.
But this morning, my partner needed to do a load of washing and instead of washing our toddler’s clothes with his (toddler had a vest, jumper, and a top), my partner took our toddler’s clothes out, put them on the side, so he could wash his own clothes???
Why not just chuck our toddler’s clothes in with his?
This has happened twice now and he’s never washed our toddlers clothes

Has anyone had the flu jab during pregnancy and feeling absolutely horrendous? I had the jab last Friday and since Saturday I have been absolutely written off, blocked nose, terrible chesty cough, headache and sweats. Wondering whether I should of got it done in the first place 😭😭

Husband wants me to stay off my phone when breastfeeding day or night. He says the phone is too close to the baby's head. Husband is annoyed that I said No. I'm up doing nights and baby's in my arms and I should stay off my phone. Ridiculous. He said i should read or listen to something instead.
😒
Thoughts? Anyone else doing this.
FYI i'm not on my phone all feeds. Just at 3 something in the morning when I have had minimal sleep yes I am on my phone trying to stay awake.

My little girl is 15 weeks and for the last 3ish weeks has been fighting every day time nap, and bedtime.
She doesn’t have strict wake windows and I just follow her sleepy cues, which are usually rubbing eyes, yawning, and staring into space. When she gets to this point I will give her her dummy to soothe into sleep, but she resists it to the point I have to rock her whilst she screams for 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.
She only wakes twice in the night around 1:30 for a feed and again at 6:30.
Is there a way to stop this or will she just naturally learn to fall asleep peacefully one day? 😂

My period still hasn’t returned an my baby turned one last month! I kinda thought it would have returned by now.. a couple weeks ago I got symptoms that had me thinking I may be ovulating but still no period. Even took a pregnancy test today just to make sure. Anyways, if you did get yours was it after you cut down on breastfeeding sessions or eliminated overnight feeds? My baby has only ever fed at breast never taken a bottle but he took right to solids at 6 months and now eats lots. He maybe breast feeds once or twice throughout the day but still wakes overnight a few times and I nurse him back to sleep.
