When did your period return postpartum? Especially if you were breastfeeding

My period still hasn’t returned an my baby turned one last month! I kinda thought it would have returned by now.. a couple weeks ago I got symptoms that had me thinking I may be ovulating but still no period. Even took a pregnancy test today just to make sure. Anyways, if you did get yours was it after you cut down on breastfeeding sessions or eliminated overnight feeds? My baby has only ever fed at breast never taken a bottle but he took right to solids at 6 months and now eats lots. He maybe breast feeds once or twice throughout the day but still wakes overnight a few times and I nurse him back to sleep.

Hey I am the exact same but my periods weren't exactly great before having a baby also, I'm nearly 12 months pp and not a whiff of anything yet. My son eats food pretty well now but he does breastfeed a lot still, during the night probably 4 or 5 times and then during the day about the same I reckon. If you are wanting to get them back it usually a reduction of the night feeds you need to do

8.5 months with my first. We fed until 25 months but everyone is so different. We were feeding 1-2 hourly day and night x

Maybe around 15 months after birth. I still breastfeed, at night as well. Strangely, this time my periods are painless. Other than that, pretty similar to before the pregnancy.

9 weeks after my first.

6 months after my second.

Breastfed them both but the women in my family never got breaks from periods back and tons of back to back kids as a result.

Baby finally sleeping through but it’s now effecting my marriage

Controversial one and I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I miss daughter waking up in the night. She’s always been a 6:30-7:30pm to bed kinda baby. But she’d wake up twice a night.
However all of a sudden she’s started sleeping through but the catch is she goes to sleep after 9pm. By the time we’ve put her to bed and go ourselves sorted there isn’t much of an evening left to spend with my husband.
We used to cook together and watch films or box sets and chat. It’s done wonder for keeping our love life going as we’ve navigated becoming parents. But now we almost don’t have any down time together.
We get up around 6:15am for our jobs so it’s not realistic for us to be staying up much later.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Being on phone whilst breastfeeding or holding baby

Husband wants me to stay off my phone when breastfeeding day or night. He says the phone is too close to the baby's head. Husband is annoyed that I said No. I'm up doing nights and baby's in my arms and I should stay off my phone. Ridiculous. He said i should read or listen to something instead.

😒

Thoughts? Anyone else doing this.

FYI i'm not on my phone all feeds. Just at 3 something in the morning when I have had minimal sleep yes I am on my phone trying to stay awake.

Fighting sleep

My little girl is 15 weeks and for the last 3ish weeks has been fighting every day time nap, and bedtime.

She doesn’t have strict wake windows and I just follow her sleepy cues, which are usually rubbing eyes, yawning, and staring into space. When she gets to this point I will give her her dummy to soothe into sleep, but she resists it to the point I have to rock her whilst she screams for 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.

She only wakes twice in the night around 1:30 for a feed and again at 6:30.

Is there a way to stop this or will she just naturally learn to fall asleep peacefully one day? 😂

Would this bug you?

My partner does his own washing (great!) and I do mine and our toddler’s.

Sometimes I put toddler’s clothes straight in the washing machine if they are ditched, with a view that I’ll do a load later.

But this morning, my partner needed to do a load of washing and instead of washing our toddler’s clothes with his (toddler had a vest, jumper, and a top), my partner took our toddler’s clothes out, put them on the side, so he could wash his own clothes???

Why not just chuck our toddler’s clothes in with his?

This has happened twice now and he’s never washed our toddlers clothes

Reducing formula

My little one is about to turn one and I know I need to be reducing her formula intake. She does eat well but there is always a concern she isn’t eating everything she needs nutritionally. She currently has 4 150ml bottles a day. 1st one about 05:45 and the final one before bed and tooth brushing. She loves her milk so I know it will be hard to reduce. My aim is to lose the day bottles first.
