Sleep sacks

I know this is one of ✨ those ✨ questions but do your baby’s arms not get cold when using a sleep sack / bag?

We’ve been using togged sleep suits for a while but his sleep is so bad I’m willing to make any and every change I can to help him…thinking maybe (maybe) the sleep suits feel restrictive so he’s having a harder time getting comfy and a bag would help with some more movement.

I’m with you on this!!! I actually brought steppe’s they’re sleep sacks but with legs instead!

I use the sleeping bags that have long sleeves and legs, got them on Amazon and they are nice and warm too

I love using the ones from slumbersac, you can detach the sleeves to, they do ones with legs and they even do adult ones 😂 so if your little one doesn't take to a duvet as they get older slumbersac literally cater up to adult sizes which is cool x

Mine has a sleeveless sleep sack and she sleeps 10-8am usually and is very warm when I feed her in the morning, so I don't think she's getting cold. I do sometimes put a long sleeve vest on her instead of short sleeve though depending on the temp.
She didn't really get on with the sleep suits and I think it was probably for the same reason you said!

I bought a 2.5tog fleece one that has arms but with holes so below his elbows can stick out. My LO loves having his hands out and having a slightly warmer tog has helped him sleep better, even if he gets cold hands

We use the 2.5 tog sleep suits from Sainsbury’s!!! Our house is super old so gets really cold and these keep him toasty all over x x

We had some that had sleeves!

I have the love to dream ones with arms. He sleeps much better since.

At the moment we're using a 2.5tog sleeveless sleep sack. I put her in a long sleeve vest under her pjs. She sleeps pretty well so I don't think she's cold. He room doesn't go below 20 degrees though. It's usually around 21. X

We use the bags with no sleeves and he's a good sleeper. 9-6:30 without waking in the night generally.

Maybe try one and see how they take to it? Might like having the arms a bit lighter and free?

Just reading these comments for some advice too. What’s the difference between a sleep sack, sleep bag and sleep suit ?

Avatar

They regulate heat in their torsos so even if hands and arms are cold they are not. Long sleeved vest sleep suit and a sleep sack for us at the moment. We do have some with sleeves in aswell though from love to dream x

How long did baby sleep in your room?

My little one is only just 4 months but is rolling and already pretty much grown out of his next to me crib in size! I am an anxious mum and a stickler for following safety guidelines so we are going to dismantle and rebuild his big cot in our bedroom. Obviously that's a big of a faff for just 2 months but the more I think about it the more I can't even think about him moving into his own bedroom anytime soon... It feels so wrong to me to just stick my infant in his own bedroom? 😂 But obviously I know it needs to happen at some point so I'm just curious to see when other parents did the transition whether earlier or later?

Naps at nursery

My little boy will be 10 months old when he starts nursery, he currently needs holding/cuddling to fall asleep then I can place him down in his cot to nap once’s he’s fell asleep. He won’t settle on his own it just results in him screaming crying. But I’m worried about when he starts nursery, will the staff there do the same at nap time or will he expected to self settle himself to sleep?

Why no trigger warning???

Why are people posting pics of blood abd mucus plugs without the sensitive content warning??? Not everyone has the stomach to see that, there's first time moms on here who don't need to see it like have some consideration for others??

Is this normal?

My 3.5yo son is normally very loud when he's in a park, soft play, family friendly holidays. Sometimes a bit too loud and doesn't understand some kids aren't reciprocating it. But I received his nursery report today and they say he's shy and likes to play alone. So I don't get it. He does in 2 days a week. Is this normal?
