My 2 year old is on me all day & all night like a leach & I’m so over it!! I’ve been BF for over 7 years with all my babies…but when I say not now or I ask my husband to take him so I can have a break because he doesn’t need it every time I sit down, my husband says “just nurse him, he wants comfort” & he refuses to take him at night to help him wean, saying he has to take care of the older kids at night & he needs his rest as he has to work during the day. But I co-sleep & he’ll scream waking up the whole house or be awake all night, if I don’t nurse him back to sleep.
My youngest pinches me & switches sides multiple times, he will scream for “milkies” & hit me if I don’t let him nurse - even in public. I’ve tried gently saying no hitting & pitting him down, or later & redirecting him, but he just escalates & then starts cryin “pweese mommy” & my husband says I’m punishing him or making him suffer…my other babies were only nursing at naptime & bedtime when I weaned (my husband never helped with them either, even though I was pregnant, but it was easier). This one is very demanding & I don’t know what to do, especially trying to wean by myself :( No I don’t have anyone else to help me.

Are the others up a lot? Surely the solution should be that you swap, you listen out for the older ones while he takes care of the younger? He doesn't work 7 days a week I assume. It's your body and your choice if you're ready to stop breastfeeding, sounds like he just likes it as an easy option so he doesn't have to do as much. If you can't have a serious discussion and get on the same page then you definitely can do this alone. I would personally start by trying to drop the day feeds. Show that you aren't going to give in but offer him comfort- maybe he can cuddle into them, maybe a cup of milk, try redirecting. I understand that he kicks off but if you give him what he wants you're teaching him to keep doing it. You could also try saying yes but 2 mins each side, then 1 min, so on, to get him used to less before none, and again offering cuddles. It's not harmful if he keeps crying if you're there for comfort. Could you try getting him used to his own bed for a little while whilst still breastfeeding?

I would also look into some tactics to help with the tantrums- find a parenting book that you like (I recommend it how to talk so little kids will listen) and be prepared with a bunch of things to try to help work through his feelings together. There are also a few books you could read with him about finishing breastfeeding. He's old enough to understand if you explain your milk is running out soon and you've loved having all the cuddles and special time with him but now it's time for that to come to an end. Good luck, I was ready to stop after 2 years, can't imagine having done it for 7 😫 you've done an amazing job, now go get your boobs back you deserve it!!

We weaned shortly after his third birthday, I bought the book Booby Moon & spoke about it for a couple weeks leading up to the big night. Then we “put it in a balloon” (the milk lol) & released it up to the moon so that other newborns who needed it could have it. I heard good things about that book & he was old enough to understand the concept so it worked really well for us 🥰 my partner didn’t really need to help as he was fine with it being gone & up with the moon. Before this though he was veryyy resistant to giving it up so I’m glad we finally found something that clicked
Is mounjaro allowed to be taken whilst breastfeeding? I’m not on it yet, but considering it as it’s the only thing that helps me lose some weight due to my health conditions.

Hi mums, I’m 10 weeks postpartum and feeling so burnt out. My baby doesn't latch, so I’ve been pumping and mixed feeding. Pumping is exhausting me, and I’m really thinking about quitting.
Because I work in healthcare, the guilt is hitting me hard and I keep overthinking the benefits of breast milk. But my mental and physical health are slipping.
Would love to hear from moms whose babies are 100% formula-fed. Please tell me your formula babies are thriving and that you got your sanity back! Need some reassurance today. 🙏

When should I start getting my little one into a bed routine? He’s 2 months old and will go to bed with me.. normally I don’t go to bed until 10pm due to having other kids and cleaning up etc.. but is it a good idea to be getting him into his own routine and setting up a monitor in his cot or is it too early for him?

Does anyone know how long this sleep regression lasts? My son has gone from sleeping through to being up every hour for the last two weeks, I'm soooo tired!!🥲

I’m genuinely at a loss. My 7 week old will not sleep on a night time. Everytime she falls asleep in my arms I go to put her down and she wakes up instantly is awake for hours afterwards

Baby is 7 weeks old, I’ve been tripple feeding due to weight issues/tongue tie…I’ve been doing all the nights on my own. My partner quite often sleeps in the spare room and gets full nights sleeps. Even if he sleeps in bed with me, he sleeps through baby’s cries. Even if I try to wake him up to ask him to change a nappy while I sort my pumps out, he doesn’t even wake up from me.
So anyways, tonight I kindly asked my partner if he could have the baby just for the first half of the night because I’m ill & I didn’t get any sleep yesterday. It was awful, baby was so unsettled I think she had tummy pains she hadn’t pooped in a long time. And on top of this, his parents have given me a rotten cold. So I just want to get a solid block of sleep even if it’s just 3 hours. Just to try to recover. This is the first time I’ve ever asked for anything.
His response was “yeah okay but I’m not gonna go bed then I’m just gonna stay up all night on the iPad, I’m not taking my pillows, I’d rather not sleep at all than get broken sleep”….i just said “no you have work in the morning just try to get some sleep” and i mentioned that I have to do the broken sleep day in, day out. He then started shouting at me saying “why are you kicking off at me just be grateful that I’m doing this for you”…….
Excuse me. Grateful? 😆
And I wasn’t kicking off I calmly just said this is what I’m expected to do every day and wake up feeling amazing the next day.
I feel like that’s his way of making me feel guilty & awful, so that I never ask him again.
Today all he’s kept saying is “what the f is wrong with you today” just purely because I’m unwell & not as energised.
Mate I’ve been surviving off no sleep for 7 weeks & now I’ve caught a bug that’s completely wiped me out. Even when he comes come from work, he can’t settle baby. She screams in his arms endlessly. The second I take her, she’s silent. I’m the only one who can soothe her. So I don’t even get a break when he comes home. And now I’m ill from your selfish parents & having to continue as normal & not sleeping.
But I have to be upbeat and happy 24/7….when you physically cannot do ONE night of broken sleep with the baby ?
All I did was try to tell him to put himself In my shoes and understand how that sounds and feels. I’ve never said to him “just be grateful that I’m doing this for you” when I’ve been up all night with his daughter & when he is ill.
When I mentioned to him that this feels a bit manipulative, he stormed out of the room and slammed the door. He didn’t want to hear it. But I do feel like he does that so that he gets his own way.
I’m really really struggling postpartum. Like badly. I don’t have a village. I don’t have any close family or friends. He’s all I have. And this is the treatment I’m getting. All I wanted was a couple of hours while I’m unwell.
During this argument he was giving it all this sarcasm like “are you ever wrong, you can’t do anything wrong can you”.
Feel like he’s just been so disrespectful.
Every evening he also moans that dinner isn’t ready soon enough. He’s never just gone and cooked a meal us. If baby is glued to me and he is free, I don’t see why he can’t make some food if he’s so hungry. Sometimes I feel like I’m taking care of 2 kids.
