How are you getting out of the house on time with newborn and toddler?

I find we're running late for everything. I pack their bags the day before but with potty training, feeding the newborn before leaving, changing nappies and getting ready myself on the day it gets so late! Any hacks/ tips??

We are in the same boat, word for word! I think the toddler being in nappies was easier 😂. But honestly I have just come to realise it takes ages to get out - I just start way earlier than seems necessary! It's the feeding of everyone in particular that takes time for us.

Yeah we are late for everything now. I look at the clock & think I have ages then suddenly we're leaving at the time we should have arrived 🤦🏻‍♀️
I try to go to the toilet as much as possible myself before we leave because it's harder while out but by the time my toddler takes his shoes on & off a couple times & we finally get out to the car, then yells at me I forgot his hat that he had on 2 minutes ago urgh.

Restocking your bag when they are in bed or first thing is a good idea. Don't forget a drink & snack for you Mum. Note the time of your journey & add on time for potential traffic & a tantrum or nappy blow out.

Trying to get everything as ready as possible the night before is definitely the way to go! Mind you, by the time my baby has gone down I'm often just ready to collapse in bed myself!

Stepkids (12F, 17M) hating the new pregnancy.. how to handle?

Hey everyone, looking for advice on navigating some tough stepfamily dynamics.

My partner and I have been together for a while. There was a lot of drama with his ex at the beginning, so the kids didn't like me initially. I get why the transition was hard, but we're running into a wall now that I gave birth.

The 12-year-old daughter has been super moody and upset about the pregnancy, especially stressing over whether it's a girl (we waited till I gave birth to find out the gender). On a recent FaceTime (which included the ex and the 17yo son), she literally sat in the background the whole time texting, ignoring us completely.

It really unsettled me especially the thought of her resentment if I had a daughter. I gave birth to a baby boy but still.

How do you guys handle stepkids who are openly resentful about a new baby, and how do you set boundaries with FaceTime calls when the ex is involved? Any advice is appreciated!

Sudden mama only phase

My LO is 9 weeks, since last week he suddenly only wants me. He used to take a bottle ebm from my husband and be soothed by my dad/brother — now he refuses both and only calms when I hold him. Contact naps only, cries when put down.

Don’t get me wrong , i love him so much but sometimes need to step away 🥲😥 my back is killing me from holding him all day and sometimes I just need to function.— and right now I can't, because he won't settle for anyone else. My husband used to offer one bottle of ebm per day so that i can get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep but now that’s also impossible

Is this a phase? Will appreciate any tips

Looking for support

Last night was one of the most frightening and emotionally overwhelming nights I’ve experienced in a long time, and I’m honestly not sure what to do.

Taking baby shopping

I feel absolutely insane but I'm nervous to take my almost 4 month old out shopping with me lol. I was hoping he'd be able to sit in the cart so I don't have to bring in the car seat. Should I just put him in a baby wearing carrier? Why do I feel like I'm making a bigger deal out of this than it should be 😂

Maternity Bras - big boobs!

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for maternity bras for big boobs. Not necessarily needing breastfeeding friendly, but something comfortable and soft with support.

I am 9 weeks pregnant and my boobs already are spilling out of my current bras and they are soooo heavy and sore.

I'm a 36G normally but will need to go up 🙃 (genuinely thought they couldn't get any bigger 😂😂)
