Regression with bottles

My little girl has one bedtime bottle and one bottle through the night.
We used to give her a morning bottle but we stopped that just before Christmas and we got good and just taking her straight down stairs for breakfast.

However now she wakes up hysterical shouting for her “milk!”

On these days she won’t eat a good breakfast so it’s not even a hunger thing. If we give her the bottle she is way more chill and funnily enough is then calm enough to have a decent breakfast.

Should I just go with the flow with this or stand firm and try cut it out?

Is it milk specific or thirst? Would she have some water? Or have a little bit of milk so there's still room for breakfast?

Oh it’s hard because I’m all for an easy life but my gut is saying it’s now just a habit, the comfort of the bottle.

I have found so far in my motherhood journey that honestly give it a few days and they forget about it 🤷🏽‍♀️ sometimes it’s harder the more they speak 🙈

I would switch to a cup and see if the want is still there? Like she can have a cup of milk with her breakfast.

The cup is a great idea! I wonder if she could see you put milk in her breakfast? Like you make some Weetabix together and she sees the milk go in before she eats it if that makes sense? Might do nothing but you never know.

Thanks guys! Yeah I’ll try letting her see us make her breakfast
That’s not a bad idea.
She does have a water bottle of course through the day but it’s just on a night it’s clearly getting out of hand again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tbf it’s probably my fault for being such a softie. I let her get away with murder 😂

Does little one have cows milk and in a beaker or is it baby milk and a baby bottle? As my little one 17m has about 150 ml in morning then has breakfast an hour later and has the same amount roughly before bed but I’ve been told that’s okay as long as he has meals during the day and brushes his teeth after milk at night x

Rant about dad in playground incoming!!!!!

So me and my mum were just in the playground with my 21 month old. We made our way to a little playhouse and there was another little boy who seemed the same age, maybe a little older with his dad and older brother nearby.

I looked at the dad and he seemed so laid back he might aswell of been laid in the bushes. One earphone in, kind of looked distant.

I encourage my son into this playhouse, holding his hand. The little boy comes over and basically barges his way in and stands in the way so my son couldn’t come in. I’m obviously still encouraging him to go in and trying to chat to this little boy about how nice the playhouse is.

He swipes some leaves and sticks off a little table inside which makes my son jump so he steps back and this little boy leaves. He then follows us to the slide and he’s using his body to basically block my son. Kicking his leg so he can’t get on. The slide was massive and attached to a massive climbing frame. There was plenty of space for several kids.

It got to the point where we had to explain to this little boy that his behaviour isn’t very nice and to stop. The dad was on his phone still with an earphone in.

Now I try my hardest, even more so now I’m a mum to not judge and fully understand kids are kids and sharing, social skills ect are being learnt but I feel like those kids were in charge of their dad, not the other way around. At what point do you stop being so understanding and throat punch the dad 🤷🏽‍♀️

Obsessed with making boys rude

From the moment I gave birth to a boy I’ve been hearing comments about how he’s going to be rude and mess with all the girls and he won’t have any behavior. I don’t understand why they insist and on saying these things just because he’s a boy is this normal comment for a baby boy?

Breast milk

Hi guys, so just want to check see if anyone’s had the same thing happen so I’m not going mad. I breastfed my baby for about 12 weeks then stopped my supply gradually. Anyway fast forward 2 months, it would appear I’ve got breastmilk all of sudden leaking this morning, is this normal?😂😩

Moving to own room

Have we put our babies in their own rooms yet?? I know it’s recommended around 6 months but I don’t feel ready yet. Can someone educate me on why we are supposed to do it at this age??
