What went first for you?

I’m 37 weeks, I had a c section 4 years ago after being induced and it failing, so I’ve never gone into natural labour, so scared!!

Contractions first, my waters had to be broken at the hospital.

Same as above, contractions first, waters broken by midwife at hospital

Contractions caused my water to leak with my first, needed Dr to finishing popping it.

For me, I didn't want to experience the pain with my first so I went with an epidural, and that was a whole ordeal. Second it only worked on one half, and the contractions weren't nearly as painful as the varicose vein I had in my groin.

My third I well not be going with an epidural, since the other two didn't work right

With my first i was induced so contractions first then they broke my waters. With my second I had a spontaneous premature birth so my waters went first and then contractions hit instantly

My waters broke naturally but I never had contractions not even on the hormone drip. So I had an emergency C-section x

I was having contractions didnt even realize went in at 7cm for “cramps”turns out it was contractions they gave me the option to stay or go home until they got stronger or my water broke i went home to lay down with my dogs as soon as i laid down i felt a pop and then felt like i peed myself and went right back had my bbg 23 hrs later😭

I had period cramps then lost my mucus plug/ had a bloody show then contractions started. My waters didn't break on their own, they broke them for me in hospital. I will say it was a huge relief when they broke my waters the contractions were more manageable after that even though I was further along in labour.

My waters never went with any of my labours (3) contractions were always first and then waters broken during labour.

First child they went while pushing, second they were broken during emergency c section after labouring to 8cm and third they had to break to help speed up labour as it was on a go slow and was also a vbac birth so limited on what help could provide but it worked 👌🏻

Baby stopped moving

I am 39 weeks today and had my last scan this morning and it’s all good. Tonight I’ve noticed for the last hour or so no moving. I’m really scared cos usually he moves all day and night especially at night to the point I can’t sleep. I don’t know if I should wait or go if it’s only been around a hours time?
It says online not to prod and poke or have water cos it won’t mean anything I am sat in bed watching it but I really don’t know what to do!!
My tummy is just completely still. I was and have had Brixton hicks for ages and right now my tummy is rock hard but just nothing moving

C- section recovery...

Hi mummas,
I had an emergency C-section 15 weeks ago. I haven't had much rest, and as a single mum, I’ve been completely on my own since August caring for my little one and my 14-year-old beagle.
The thing is... the external scar has healed completely, but I’m not sure about the internal ones. I still have pain and discomfort in the area. If I touch the scar or my belly around it, it hurts, and the skin feels weird—kind of half-numb. I can only wear "grandma" knickers because anything else presses on the scar and hurts.
Is this going to be like this forever? Has anyone experienced the same? Should I be doing something about it?
I was really shocked that my 6-week postnatal appointment was completely useless. The doctor didn’t check me or ask about my C-section recovery at all—the only thing they asked about was contraception! It was horrible. I really need some advice please...
Also, I feel like this body isn't mine anymore. At the beginning I didn't care much, but now I feel like my abdomen will always be big and "horrible," and it's getting me down. I mean, I'm very protective of my body because it created life! But at the same time... I feel ugly 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Baby name for a boy

So we were meditating on the name Philip for a boy…

My husband is a PhD in philosophy, so he loves it. I thought of the name, Phillip because my auntie was yelling at me to “take my pills.” … I don’t know about the negative connotations…

Holding head up

Hii, I just maybe need some reassurance. My baby turned 3 months today and he’s still not able to hold his head up confidently like it’s still wobbly at times and I still can’t hold him up for a long time without putting my hand on his back. He can hold his head up just not for long does this make sense? And is this normal 🙈

Hip Pain

Does anyone have any suggestions for hip pain relief? Ive seen a physio and she said my hip is just very tight and sore. So apparently a belt won't help. it's getting to the point it's waking me in the night on both sides, although definitely worse on my left side. I do sleep with a pregnancy pillow between my knees as well. any advice would be amazing. How on earth am I going to make it another 10 weeks 😰
