Baby stopped moving

I am 39 weeks today and had my last scan this morning and it’s all good. Tonight I’ve noticed for the last hour or so no moving. I’m really scared cos usually he moves all day and night especially at night to the point I can’t sleep. I don’t know if I should wait or go if it’s only been around a hours time?
It says online not to prod and poke or have water cos it won’t mean anything I am sat in bed watching it but I really don’t know what to do!!
My tummy is just completely still. I was and have had Brixton hicks for ages and right now my tummy is rock hard but just nothing moving

Sometimes babies are still as well. I remember mine would move around a lot but definitely had her quiet periods. But you know your body best and if you feel something is wrong, give your midwife a call. Or call your maternity helpline if you have one. You would likely have to go in so they can monitor though

Can you drink juice or something sugary and see if that gets the baby moving?

Try a bath or shower that worked for me they like to scare us 😂 but honestly if ur concerned call someone u know ur body and baby better then anyone else

I feel this happened me heaps towards the end. They say they run out of space. Most likely everything fine. Can you lie on your sides maybe? Doesn’t hurt to get checked for peace of mind but would say you will be fine xx

I’ve been to labor and delivery about 4 times for this exact reason in just the last two weeks . If you feel like you need reassurance in anyway go in and get checked out . That’s what they are there for .

If you are worried, go. I think I went about 5 times for reduced movements. They'd rather check than not

If you’re worried, ring ahead to your hospital/ labour ward and let the know your worries, they’re very likely to tell you to come in as better to check and be reassured (: if you had a scan today it’s soo likely that everything is fine, but for your peace of mind I’d ring them.

Disappointed in a scan?

Hey guys, so I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant yesterday so I had booked myself in for a pregnancy confirmation scan. I had the expectation to see a yolk sac and possibly a faint heartbeat however when the midwife first looked it was an empty sac no yolk in sight. She did manage to find tiny thing she said she thinks is the yolk sac and marked me down as 5 weeks but would like to see me two days again to see if the yolk sac has developed. It has sent me into a slight spiral that there’s nothing there. It’s my first pregnancy and I am overthinking everything! I was a bit disappointed to not be as far as I thought I was. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Was everything ok in the end? I’ve attached the scan image.

Postponed Induction / busy labour ward

Hello - looking for some advice please. I was booked in for an induction earlier this week and have been advised the labour ward is so busy that it’s actually closed for new admissions right now until further notice. Has anyone experienced this as well?

I’ve been told it can change quickly but my anxiety is increasing given I was being induced for medical reasons but equally understand pressures on the system right now so feel I can’t challenge it.

Any advice welcome.

38 week Static Growth - Scan

I had my 38 week midwife appointment this afternoon at 38+4 and she said baby was engaged, their head deep in my pelvis (I was told baby had engaged at 36+4 also).

When measuring the bump it was measuring 38cm at 36+4 but today has stayed static and measured 38.2cm, going from 95th percentile to 60th I think she said. Midwife didn’t seem overly concerned and believed other symptoms suggested my body was getting ready for early labour and this may just be due to him moving down.

I’ve been referred for a scan at 5pm today, has anybody else had something similar? Did it result in a change to your birth plan at this stage?

C-section 🌺

Soo ive just heard from my midwife who said Ive been provisionally booked in for my C-section on the 26th October I’ll be 39+5. Very happy to wait but this is my 3rd C-section so assumed it would be slightly earlier. Anyone in the same boat?🩷

Gifts for new mums!

My best friend is expecting her first child after being told she was infertile and trying for years and I am SO SO happy for her!

I want to try and support her as best as possible and really show up for her as she was always so supportive during both my pregnancies despite her troubles!

What is things you would’ve loved/needed late pregnant/early postpartum? Planning on doing her a large hamper for her and a separate one for her baby 🤍

Any advice helpful 🩷🩷

Cervical checks?

Im pregnant with my first and I just went to my 37 week appointment. My pregnancy has been a healthy one but I did share some concerns I was having. She just brushed them off. Is it odd that I haven’t had any internal exams or checks? Everybody around me is saying they should’ve checked and made sure I was okay
