Hip Pain

Does anyone have any suggestions for hip pain relief? Ive seen a physio and she said my hip is just very tight and sore. So apparently a belt won't help. it's getting to the point it's waking me in the night on both sides, although definitely worse on my left side. I do sleep with a pregnancy pillow between my knees as well. any advice would be amazing. How on earth am I going to make it another 10 weeks 😰

My advice is not going to bring you immediate or even lasting relief. But for the love of god keep moving. My hip and pelvic pain was 100x worse in my first pregnancy because I basically resigned myself to sitting or lying down purely because I could. In my second pregnancy I had a toddler to look after so rest wasn’t an option and although I hurt, it meant I was still walking at the end of the pregnancy.
I also recommend pregnancy yoga.

So good for gentle movement that strengthens and stretches the body in a safe way.

Other than that remember to take paracetamol regularly, particularly recommended after or before hard days with lots of movements

I've been really struggling with this, did a pregnancy yoga class and it's helped a fair bit!

Another vote for pregnancy yoga! The stretching should really help. Either a class or find something on YouTube. I’ve done classes plus this 10 min one in between and it’s great! https://youtu.be/4NwQKXpWN_A?is=bf5WQHgFcLN5cE-w

I’ve been using a hot water bottle over the last few days and that’s been helping me! (Just remember to keep it away from your bump and to not use water that’s too hot)

Baby stopped moving

I am 39 weeks today and had my last scan this morning and it’s all good. Tonight I’ve noticed for the last hour or so no moving. I’m really scared cos usually he moves all day and night especially at night to the point I can’t sleep. I don’t know if I should wait or go if it’s only been around a hours time?
It says online not to prod and poke or have water cos it won’t mean anything I am sat in bed watching it but I really don’t know what to do!!
My tummy is just completely still. I was and have had Brixton hicks for ages and right now my tummy is rock hard but just nothing moving

C- section recovery...

Hi mummas,
I had an emergency C-section 15 weeks ago. I haven't had much rest, and as a single mum, I’ve been completely on my own since August caring for my little one and my 14-year-old beagle.
The thing is... the external scar has healed completely, but I’m not sure about the internal ones. I still have pain and discomfort in the area. If I touch the scar or my belly around it, it hurts, and the skin feels weird—kind of half-numb. I can only wear "grandma" knickers because anything else presses on the scar and hurts.
Is this going to be like this forever? Has anyone experienced the same? Should I be doing something about it?
I was really shocked that my 6-week postnatal appointment was completely useless. The doctor didn’t check me or ask about my C-section recovery at all—the only thing they asked about was contraception! It was horrible. I really need some advice please...
Also, I feel like this body isn't mine anymore. At the beginning I didn't care much, but now I feel like my abdomen will always be big and "horrible," and it's getting me down. I mean, I'm very protective of my body because it created life! But at the same time... I feel ugly šŸ˜…šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Baby name for a boy

So we were meditating on the name Philip for a boy…

My husband is a PhD in philosophy, so he loves it. I thought of the name, Phillip because my auntie was yelling at me to ā€œtake my pills.ā€ … I don’t know about the negative connotations…

Holding head up

Hii, I just maybe need some reassurance. My baby turned 3 months today and he’s still not able to hold his head up confidently like it’s still wobbly at times and I still can’t hold him up for a long time without putting my hand on his back. He can hold his head up just not for long does this make sense? And is this normal šŸ™ˆ
