Is this normal?

Hello everybody. I had my baby yesterday via c section. My first time having a c section and it was in baby's best Interests to have one. I had lost a litre of blood and wasn't feeling very great at all, i was cut in like a t shape instead of the normal line across. Me and baby are on the other side and slowly recovering. However, for any of you that have had a c section is it normal to have excruciating pain when getting out of bed and just moving in general, even picking my son up from his bed was awfully painful. I keep on panicking I'm going to end up damaging myself and burst open a stitch too when I get the pain. Is this all normal and okay? I'm gonna ask for some higher meds soon but just wanted to see others experiences to know I'm not alone or being overdramatic.

Thank you so much in advance.

First of all, congratulations 🥂 what a wonderful little baby you have created!
I had an emergency C-section 2,5 years ago and I experienced similar pains. I would not be shy in asking for more pain relief, everyone experiences pain differently and you are well within your rights to ask for more. Please do tell your midwives about the pain and that you’re worried about it.
It took me about a week to start to feel like the pain was starting to improve. Things like showering, walking to the loo and sitting up in bed was awful! You’re not alone x (I hope this helps)

Congratulations!
Yes, had a c section with my first and an operation involving reopening my c section scar just over a year ago.
It is painful, please make sure you have the right pain meds like above. They gave only paracetamol and ibuprofen for my first which didn’t cut it for me. With my second operation I was on IV pain relief and liquid morphine as it was more complex. It’s okay to feel like it’s a lot, it is major surgery. I promise you, it will get better! You’ve got this ♥️

Congratulations 🤍

Yes definitely normal to feel very sore in the first few days, probably more so as you had a T incision as a pose to the usual c incision.
Ask for more pain relief if you need it, especially when in hospital as they can give you more, one discharged you only get likes of paracetamol/iboprofen.

The first few days are the most uncomfortable, i found moving around slowly through the day helped to ease the pain, just take it at your own pace, each day it does get easier🤍

Have I dropped??

Hey girls, I’m 29+6 and I really can’t tell if I’ve dropped or not already. I will try and add a photo from last week in the replies as I can’t add two to the post.

6 week check post partum

I’m now 8 weeks 3 days post partum and my baby had her 6-8 week check today but I haven’t had any follow up check like I’ve heard other people have at 6 weeks… am I supposed to make the appointment myself? I last saw my midwife at around 5 days post partum and the health visitor last came out at around 6 weeks.

I thought that I’d have my check at the same time as my baby at the doctors but they only checked her so I’m not sure what to do.

Missed miscarriage

I went for my scan yesterday & what should’ve been a 12 week old baby, I unfortunately only had an empty sac of 8 weeks with no baby. Unfortunately i had a missed miscarriage whilst my body still thinks I’m pregnant.

I will be leaving this group but I hope everyone has a safe delivery for their April babies.
