hey fellow mummies, looking for some advice really.
my sons always been a good sleeper but im trying to readjust his routine alittle. hes always going to bed at 9pm and wakes at 8:30am. his nap is usually 1-3pm. i feel this is too late for a 1y/o? i know its a “dont fit if its not broken” situation.
he doesn’t go to nursery yet and my job is evening work,
if i try put him to bed earlier he is lightly sleeping or getting up multiple times a night…
any advice would be appreciated xx

I think it is quite an all right routine and time. Before 9:30/10pm is an optimal time to go to bed for the little ones. Unlessit is affecting your routine and day I woukd adjust it 15mn at a time. It can take a couple of wees but it works

We’re exactly the same , sleep around 9pm and wakes about 8am. Suits me perfectly. I hate early starts!! I also work shifts (some early, some late (finish around midnight) so this suits us perfectly. We also don’t sit down to dinner til about 19:30 so it all fits. Dinner , bath , bed. He also naps 1-3pm as well !
Only thing is if I’m on an early shift we have to wake him about 7:30 to get to nursery but that’s fine
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

I’d say stick with o it if he’s in routine without broken sleep in the night - the past 2 weeks my little one has started to sleep better in her cot, she used to cry if I put her in the cot half awake. But I put her down when she’s asleep and stays asleep until 7:30/8am as she has started to go to bed earlier 8pm usually x

Bring everything forward 15mins every few days, eg wake him up at 8:15am tomorrow, nap 12:45pm, bed 8:45pm, give it a few days and then move everything forward another 15mins
If he is waking at 8:30am and you’re trying to out him to bed earlier then yes you will end up with broken nights x

If it does work for you keep it as it is but obviously if it is something you want to change then I’d start with waking him up a little earlier in the morning, 15 mins or so at a time which should then bring the nap to finish earlier resulting in an earlier bedtime (I did this with my little girl as she was going bed around 9 and waking at 8 but when I went back to work it didn’t work for me, I needed her awake by 7 ideally so now she’s in bed by half 7-8pm x

My son usually wakes between 7-8am and is in bed asleep around 7-8pm so either way he sleep through solidly for 12 hours, as long as your son is thriving, plenty of sleep and what have you, nothing wrong with that bedtime at all x

Don’t forget all the clocks change at the end of March, so maybe don’t make extra work for yourself if things are going ok at the moment ☺️
My gorg girl is finally here due sept 29th born on the 7th sept 01:59 weighing a gorg 3870g, i went into spontaneous labour on tuesday morning woke up with the worst contractions which throughout the day got worse got to the hospital was 6cm dilated, made it to 9cm unmedicated before baby girl decided to go back to back in the last 1cm!! Bare in mind she was in the same position since 26weeks ahaha they knew her shoulder was going to get stuck and she was born with shoulder dystocia but no broken bones or sprains! So i had to get the epidural- anyone pregnant with a back to back baby the back contractions were the worst pain i ever felt in my life… anyways, forceps later and a small episiotomy as well - which literally after a day its healing really well down there and her tiny forceps scars are healing well as well. We are both so well and the hospital did an amazing job, another reason for epidural was they had to get her out quick as her heart rate was dropping so i had to push like asap they gave me 5 mins before the red button was pressed and a bunch of doctors ran in ahah, so far from my birth plan as i wanted to do 100% unmediated and in a water pool but at least i didn’t end up in c section and managed to push baby girl out! One of the hardest things ive ever done in my life but she is perf ❤️

How many words does your 18mo have? We've got about 6/7 and have been told by nursery and the health visitor thats the lower end/slightly behind. She understands very well, but rarely uses the words she knows and was a late babbler.
Just wondering if anyone else had been through the same with any advice to help her speech?

My baby is on cow and gate and has been for the last 2 weeks. I introduced breast alongside but she is refusing to latch because of the confusion and is getting frustrated when I’m trying to feed. However I’ve now stopped (for my mental state) she’s now showing signs of being very uncomfortable and straining and isn’t pooing until over 48 hours. We have been to the doctors and they have said because she is showing signs of uncomfortableness and straining to switch formulas. However they said not to use cow and gate comfort as it sits in the stomach longer.
Does anyone have any recommendations for formula that will help her bowels?

Hey ladies!
I am a woman on the edge. My baby has not had a single poo in the last 3 days that hasn’t escaped out of her nappy somehow. We’re using pampers which are supposed to be poonami proof! Is my baby just an aggressive pooper?!
Thoughts, prayers and advice needed please ❤️
