My little one is 6months old and wakes between 4 and 5:30 every night and won’t go back to sleep without milk. I’ve kept breastfeeding at this time every night as it’s the best time for my milk production, but wondering on others experience? If only my hubby is in the room she will go back to sleep so don’t think she’s actually hungry. Are people doing sleep training to get their little ones to sleep through the night???

Mines 5 months and started almost sleeping through when I started putting down awake. She then got herself back to sleep when she wasn’t hungry where normally would comfort feed. Every baby is different though but thought I’d share if helpful ❤️ I do have the issue with waking in the morning being very full which isn’t ideal

Personally I’d never sleep train my baby so young. Mine is still waking around 2:30 like clock work and settles straight back after milk. My first was sleeping through by now but they are all different. I’d never sit and hear my child cry when I know all she wants is milk and a cuddle. Your nights of sleep will return xxxx

‘Through the night’ actually means something like 6-8 hours. There’s been a miscommunication somewhere along the line that that means 12 hours. Some babies do, but it’s not the expectation or the norm. Your baby is doing fine!
If it helps, my son used to wake up at that time for a feed (and now my daughter does too). At about 7/8 months we started ‘training’ him, in that my husband went in to him instead of me, and stayed with him till he settled. After that, he did sleep 12 hours a night for the next two years (then he had a sister and it went to pot 🤣)
They’re still very small!

If just your hubby is in the room, she knows he doesn’t have milk because she can’t smell it so will probably just go back to sleep.
I’m not a fan of sleep training so can’t comment.
I’m a co-sleeper - and baby sleeps well. Dreams feeds about once or twice and then wakes fully between 06:30-07:00.
I believe sleep is biological and a baby not “sleeping through” or waking up intermittently to me is a part of parenthood we all must ride through.
my son is 17 months old and only says 2 words that have meaning should i be concerned that he isn’t trying to talk or communicate at all? i feel i have tried everything i can.
(he has said lots of words in the past but seems to never use them again after a few times)

Everyone on Instagram promoting sleep training either tends to charge for their course or says to ‘comment’ for their guide which in turn doesn’t really help much.
Anyone know of anyone actually giving advice on sleep training?

I’m trying to get my mind right, trying to find something to take my mind off this got feeling I’m having that something just isn’t right and when I have this feeling I’ve never been wrong. And I just want to not think about what it could possibly need cause I know once I find out it will not be pleasant. How do you shake your worries and this gut feeling?

My 2.5 week old baby can sleep in 2/3 hour stretches on me but everytime I move her into the bassinet she will wake up within minutes and want feeding again. I actually don’t mind her sleeping on me but as the night progresses and I get sleepy it obviously gets significantly more dangerous. Some nights I literally don’t sleep at all because it’s just constant feed, place in bassinet, resettle. I guess I’m looking for reassurance this isn’t forever? Is anyone in the same boat?

My 2 year old keeps waking up at 5am and is cranky and tired enough that she wants to go back to sleep but needs lots of cuddles. But because by this point sleep pressure is low she’s takes over an hour to resettle and fall back to sleep. By this point my alarm is going off 6:15am for work 😖😩
She used to wake up nicely around 7am and we’d all be a lot calmer and have breakfast together but now I’m either letting her sleep in a bit so she’s not over tired and there’s always a big rush to get out the door.
Any tips?
She goes to bed at 8-8:30pm naps around 1pm for 1h-1h:30m

Hi moms!
How are your babies sleeping, especially those under 3 months?
My almost 8-week-old baby sleeps for hours in my arms, on my chest, or in the carrier, even while I’m moving around doing chores. But the moment I transfer him to his bassinet, he starts grunting, wiggling, and wakes up and starts crying.
I can spend up to 2 hours trying to get him to nap in his bassinet, and he still doesn’t fall asleep. By then, his next feeding is already coming up, and he hasn’t napped at all! 😩
At night, he sleeps much more peacefully when we bed-share. I’ve also noticed that he’s calm and quiet on my chest but much noisier and more restless in his bassinet.
I’d love to hear your real-life experiences!
What actually helped your baby sleep in their bassinet? Do you use a special swaddle, a particular type of bassinet, or any tricks to make the transfer easier?
