Hi mums,
I’m really struggling at the moment and could really use some advice or reassurance.
I have a 21-month-old toddler and a 12-day-old newborn. My toddler has always been a good sleeper and was in a solid routine, but the last two nights he’s been waking for hours screaming and crying. Before the baby arrived he might wake for a bottle and go straight back to sleep, but now he’s inconsolable and won’t settle at all.
Last night he screamed for hours and today he’s started crying as soon as I put him down for bed. It’s also affecting the newborn’s sleep, which is making things even harder.
Has anyone else been through this when introducing a new baby? Is this a normal regression?
What helped your toddler feel more secure or sleep better again?
Any tips, routines, or reassurance would be so appreciated right now.
Thank you in advance, feeling exhausted and a bit overwhelmed.

So it’s normal ur toddler is getting used to sharing there day with another baby and that can trigger something in there brain try having 1 on 1 time with them leave baby with dad or family or even when baby’s sleeping and make that time all about u and ur toddler involve them in activities with baby like when I change nappies ask him/her to please pass u the nappy or the baby wipes or even chose outfits for baby make them feel included always reassure during the day with words like I love you you’re my first baby and this doesn’t change how much I love you or ur doing great ur such a good big brother/sister at night time try having another 1/1 sessions with ur toddler where you embrace them and read a story and re ashore them as much as u can like saying mummy’s here if u need me come find me or call my name and I’ll come hope this helps ❤️

Unfortunately it’s pretty normal. Mine completely stopped napping when we brought home baby.
My toddler felt more secure when I carved out special one on one time while baby was asleep and all screens were off (minus baby monitor).
I made sure to include toddler in baby’s routine too which helped some
My 2 year old keeps waking up at 5am and is cranky and tired enough that she wants to go back to sleep but needs lots of cuddles. But because by this point sleep pressure is low she’s takes over an hour to resettle and fall back to sleep. By this point my alarm is going off 6:15am for work 😖😩
She used to wake up nicely around 7am and we’d all be a lot calmer and have breakfast together but now I’m either letting her sleep in a bit so she’s not over tired and there’s always a big rush to get out the door.
Any tips?
She goes to bed at 8-8:30pm naps around 1pm for 1h-1h:30m

I’m trying to get my mind right, trying to find something to take my mind off this got feeling I’m having that something just isn’t right and when I have this feeling I’ve never been wrong. And I just want to not think about what it could possibly need cause I know once I find out it will not be pleasant. How do you shake your worries and this gut feeling?

Hi moms!
How are your babies sleeping, especially those under 3 months?
My almost 8-week-old baby sleeps for hours in my arms, on my chest, or in the carrier, even while I’m moving around doing chores. But the moment I transfer him to his bassinet, he starts grunting, wiggling, and wakes up and starts crying.
I can spend up to 2 hours trying to get him to nap in his bassinet, and he still doesn’t fall asleep. By then, his next feeding is already coming up, and he hasn’t napped at all! 😩
At night, he sleeps much more peacefully when we bed-share. I’ve also noticed that he’s calm and quiet on my chest but much noisier and more restless in his bassinet.
I’d love to hear your real-life experiences!
What actually helped your baby sleep in their bassinet? Do you use a special swaddle, a particular type of bassinet, or any tricks to make the transfer easier?

I’m looking for recommendations on a baby sling instead of a carrier or wrap, I’ve got both which my baby loves especially when it comes to nap time but it’s a mission getting on and off and she is getting heavier. I just want something quick and easy and didn’t know these even existed! She will be 2 months so not much neck control yet but is 12lbs 14oz, so conscious it needs to be decent for proper support.
Any mums have a sling that they’ve used from this age by any chance that they’ve loved?

Anybody else 2 month old sleep through the night? She has her last bottle at about 8 and then doesn’t wake until 5am anybody else similar?

When should I get worried that my son is showing little interest in crawling? He’s 8 months old? He’s great and sitting and has just started spinning when he sits but will refuse to go on his tummy.
