Since being pregnant I’ve found myself in a more sociable mood. It’s a shock to me because pre pregnancy I struggled with socializing especially with new people. But now I’m like ready to socialize like way more lol. Only thing is texting gets to a point of not going anywhere. With the weather getting warmer I would actually like to go out with other new moms that are expecting. I also just feel people aren’t really interested in meeting in person which I get social anxiety is a thing. It’s just annoying that people lead with the impression that they would eventually be open to meeting but really aren’t.

Look for prenatal classes in your area. Prenatal swimming/Pilates/yoga/walking group all exists. And then when you have the baby- baby groups. Libraries have them for free, for all ages. My ones called Baby bounce for 0-18m, toddler storytime for 18m-3yrs, and preschool storytime for 3-5yr olds.
Then when you get settled w the baby maybe consider an adult hobby just for you. Can be fitness related doesn’t have to be. Poker, bingo, trivia night, crochet/knitting club, book club, photography club, pole dance/heels class, salsa/bachata/kizomba/line dance. Tai kwon do, rollerblading, rock climbing, boxing. Heaps to choose from. Gym classes- Pilates, HIIT, pump, spin class, Zumba
Given them the benefit of the doubt multiple times. I’m fed up with Having to sit there and watch things happen and wanting to cry. Avoiding visits/meet ups, just for it to happen again the next time.
And you know what her response was “oh this is all new, we always kissed babies none of this was a thing. I didn’t know he was ill, I’ll
tell him to let me know next time”.
That’s a straight up lie. She knew & she let him keep touching her hands and letting her put them back in her mouth (after he’s just been coughing in his hands). (Baby is a newborn can I add)
I’ve never even been close with this woman, I met her 1-2 times before I fell pregnant. Then when I was pregnant she never once asked to see me. I only saw her once because I invited her to the baby shower. Now that baby’s here , suddenly she wants to see her every day.
I know times are different but even my own parents & grandparents have said this is all common sense/respect for a young baby.
