Those with a newborn and a toddler, how do you let your newborns sleep during the day?

My 3 year old is so loud either playing or having a full on meltdown. I'm so worried my newborn is losing sleep and won't grow. I'm holding my newborn during naps as he is being woken up by my toddler.

Our little one sleeps in the moses basket in livingroom. She sleeps through all my little boys screaming, laughing and meltdowns. She also sleeps while i hoover. We had a long stay in hospital when she was born, so i think she is just used to noise.

Have you tried a white noise machine? We have a penguin whag plays the white noise and it helps ours a lot especially when its noisy x

My 3,5yo is so rough and she always wants to be around the newborn screaming, banging dancing, singing etc. we are letting her be and the newbirn is getting used to the loud noises. Is also good for the newborn as this way they lesrn "during the day is noisy and loud, we stay awake..during the night is dark and quiet we sleep"

My new or sleeps in a baby nest during the day, my 18 month old is wild and loud and she sleeps through it. Started being loud around her as soon as she was born so she got used to it

I have a 3 year old boy and he’s loud and crazy. To be honest I just let the baby nap right next to him because I also want him to get used to it…they’ll share a room when baby is ready to move out of our room.

I’m baby wearing around the house to enable them to sleep properly

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
