does anyone have a vibrating feeling when baby moves? it feels like a seizure or a phone vibrating, i’ll get them randomly, like 3-4 in a 5 minute period and a few little taps and pushes but that’s it, it’s been like this for a week, is that normal?

I get this too sometimes and wonder the same thing. 🙈

It just started for me today!

I was experiencing this and asked ChatGPT about this very thing and it said common normal causes for this are:
Baby hiccups: Rhythmic, repetitive small jerks or pulses. Can last a few minutes and feel like regular tapping.
Startle reflex or sudden movement:
Babies can have brief bursts of rapid movement when they stretch or react to sound or movement. This may feel like a quick “vibration” for a few seconds.
Developing nervous system:
Around this stage, babies practice movements and reflexes. Short episodes of trembling or jittery movements can occur.
If it lasts a long time, more than a few seconds at a time, it's good to reach out to your provider.

Totally normal! I get those movements too 🤗 you know when you stretch out really good and sometimes your muscles will shake or shudder, usually when you’re tired or after a workout? It’s the same thing with your baby, the shaking happens because their muscles are weak and little and get tired more easily so when they stretch their muscles spasm.

Yes! I have those often and it’s normal. Baby could have the hiccups or they are treading their feet kinda like if riding a bike.

I thought I was crazy!!!

Same, it can also be their heartbeat that you’re feeling. Either in their chest or from the umbilical cord! Or one of your blood vessels that gets pushed up against your skin by the baby

this happens to me too!!

Yes, happens with my baby too.

Feels like crazy bubbles to me!

i had this once or twice too. freaked me out so bad i had to go to the hospital to ease my mind. they were not worried at all, kept me for a while for observation and it never happened again. my baby is perfectly fine btw, 3 years old, has never had any issues with seizures.

thanks everyone!! it was happening for like 20 minutes and then she didn’t stop kicking and pushing on whatever the lightning crotch nerve is for two hours straight 🫠
