Hi girls, i had my 32wk scan yesterday which showed twin 1 is not growing as he should(dropped by 50%) and now there's 19.9% discrepancy between them. Having another scan in 2wks to review. Doctor told me its borderline and they'd really worry if its 25% but of course I worry!! Has anyone been in the same boat and that twin actually gained more weight in the next scan??

I had this, my twins had a discrepancy of 19% at one point, they immediately put me onto weekly scans though to monitor. The following week the discrepancy was 17% and the difference got smaller every week until they weren’t worried about the discrepancy any more. It was also my twin 1 who was smaller. When they were born they were 6lb 3 and 7lb, and twin 2 struggled to maintain his weight when he was out my belly! If they’re monitoring you they’re doing they’re job, although it’s not easy on your stress and mind x

I was the same! My Twin A was smaller & the discrepancy varied massively scan to scan. Anywhere from 6-23%.
The consultant told me that the scans aren’t that accurate but it’s all they’ve got to work with so need to act on them. I was eventually sectioned at 32+6. Twin A was 3lbs 13oz & B was 4lbs 8oz, both bigger than they thought they’d be. Now 13 months old & wild! 🥰🥰
