Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

this sounds like an ad i promise you it’s not but this was me until i started using the napper app, it works out baby’s perfect nap schedule based on a few days data beforehand and now my baby naps much easier. i think i was just trying to get her to nap based on general wake windows but she likes to stay up longer

It’s definitely part of the 3-4 month regression 🙈 we have times like this with our 4 month old 🙈

Same here. I’m using napper app but even with it sometimes it’s nightmare to put him sleep 🙈 I found that wrapping him in blanket helps though. He might scream a bit but few minutes and he is out 🤣

Yeah! Since about 2 months old. At first I thought something was off, but have come to realise it’s just the norm! Literally every day!

It can be so hard! I just sang to my little one while giving her a gentle rock and the singing really helped settle her. I had to sing ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ for about 10mins but she seemed to like it and was better than listening to her screaming fighting the nap! 🙃

Yup. She naps like half an hour. I just keep it very chilled for a few hours even if she's not napping... Chilled out baby bouncer time, in the baby carrier or or in the rocking chair reading a book, not too much play, even if she doesn't sleep at least she gets some restful moments that way!

Possibly hungry, we’ve just started weaning and naps are back on and no cranky baby :)

I’ve started using huckleberry to help predict the nap times, I’ve had it for 2 weeks and it’s really helped

Poop question

Hey mommas I’m a ftm and my babygirl hasn’t pooped in two days she’s formula feed and is 12 weeks old. I can tell she’s uncomfortable and I feel so bad. I’ve been doing belly rubs and bicycle kicks and all the things like that. Also gave her some gas drops and gripe water to relieve the gas but still no poop. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me. Pic so we don’t get lost💕

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Who else is out there holding a baby thru the night so his noises dont wake up the house?!

I cant believe im still doing this at 15 months old!!!

My 2nd child is not just the noisiest sleeper but they have always been weird with breastfeeding

I think currently he is having some kinda developmental leap and growth spurt, eating and drinking like crazy and in the middle of the night if he wakes up , it takes ages to put back to sleep and he rolls around making sooooo much noise!!!

And i either have a low supply now OR he loves a fast flow and so he just jumps off the boob when it slows and complains loudly or just talks cutely but loudly! and i have to keep swapping boobs OR i have to get up and hold him and feed so gravity helps and the flow is faster and holding him means he eventually sleeps or at-least is feeding properly so is bloody quiet now! So at 1 am or 3am or often 5am onwards im holding n feeding until he wakes up 🥲🥲🥲

Any tips?

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

How’s everyone’s babies sleeping?

My little one is 19 weeks, she used to sleep through when we would put her to bed at around 10pm, she would sleep through until 6-7 am.
Now she gets so tired around 8 pm so we moved her bedtime here, but coming with this is 1-2 night feeds and she’ll be wide awake at 6 am, which I know is still amazing but I am currently as sick as a dog so hasn’t been the best for my flu 🤣.
I’m unsure whether this is the regression though as her naps are very scattered throughout the day with the max nap being 30 minutes through contact only.
Does this sound like the regression? When did your little one start sleeping through again if they ever did? Thanks in advance 🤗❤️
