I’m 38+3 and was induced this morning bc my baby is measuring huge. I think it depends on your situation and your OB

Personally, without a medical reason (reduced movements etc), I wouldn’t induce. It can create a cascade of interventions and 38w is still not quite full term. Of course it’s your body and your choice 🙂, expect your OB may be likely to resist until 39w, but depends on your circumstances and OB.

37-41 is full term

I was so done hence I asked for induction and my ob advices not until 39 weeks as that’s when Bub is full term. Surprisingly Bub decided to come a day before the due date so no indication needed. Would definitely recommend going for walks. That helped me with my labour. Good luck mama, you got this.

I had my little guy via emergency c section at 38 exactly. He needed to go to the next town over as he was working a bit hard to breathe on his own and was grunting. I got transferred the next day but being separated for nearly 12 hours was horrible. I was scheduled for c section at 39 weeks so tomorrow so if him staying inside for another week would mean we wouldn't have had to go next town over. But we're both good now and working on getting back to birth weight.
