Pumping every 2-3 hours

How do y’all do it with pumping every 2-3 hours? I am 3 weeks postpartum and I have another a preschooler at home. I don’t have help during the day and I am overwhelmed with everything. I have tried setting a timer every 2 hours but I always seem to be in the middle of something where I just can’t stop and pump. I am don’t want to tell my husband that I can’t do it anymore because we are trying to save money and not buy formula. We did have to buy some formula because my supply isn’t the greatest to begin with but slowly getting there. Just with stress of pumping an missing pump sessions it’s not helping my supply.

I am also 3 weeks postpartum and exclusively pumping. I am by myself at home all day until 5. It's not easy at all. It's so exhausting and mentally draining. Thankfully I am producing so much milk right now and have already started adding to the freezer. But I dread every pump session. Right now I am pumping usually after baby eats for 30 mins. I pump roughly 7x a day from middle of the night through the entire day. It's not easy but my goal is a year.

Although it’s not recommended for a main pump I primarily used wearables throughout the day. In the beginning I didn’t have a large enough supply already to give my LO full feeds just myself (so I did and still do have to supplement with formula). But for my own personal desire to give my LO what breastmilk I could/can I was okay with relying on wearables because it was either that or not get a pump in.

A lot of women will use wearables during their busy hours of the day and then during more down/quiet times using a wall pump. I think if you’re able to, definitely look into a wearable. It definitely helps when you’re having to chase around another little one and can’t be tied to the wall!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
