Has anyone’s little one dropped their nap yet? Mine is more frequently refusing to nap or takes over an hour to actually fall asleep for her nap. 2 seems too young to drop naps all together, but I’m wondering if she’s ready

I think it depends on the kid, mine dropped it at one. She’ll nap if she wakes up really early or is tired, but it’s not a regular thing.

Not quite yet. But there are a number of a days he'll skip but most days he's still taking a nap form 12-2 or 3. We do bedtime around 7:30 /8 and he wakes up between 5:30 and 6. On days he skips naps he tends to fall asleep earlier and sleep in longer

Okay literally just came here to see what everyone’s nap situations were because I just got my little one out of her crib after her playing in there for an hour and not napping.

My 2 year old has been the same way! But he has started sleeping 11-12 hours. Night which is not normal for him. He’s always been a 8-9 hour sleeper since he started sleeping through the night.
I’ve read that if the drop the nap for 3 weeks straight then they are ready. But yes I agree 2 is too early normally it’s around 3.

We're a few months ahead (Nov 2023) but because I happened across this in my feed - we went through this around age 2. Don't fall for it, it's a trap. There's a bit of a regression and nap strike but they definitely still need the nap at that age.

Some days she refuses but it depends on so many things, like if she’s sick or just under tired. However most days she still naps from 1-3 at minimum, I know she’s not ready to drop it yet though just based off the devil she turns into without one. It’s also totally normal for them to regress with sleep. Most children still need naps until 4.
