I had this!!! My midwife said it is actually baby scratching me inside...and i promise you, when she was born she had nails!!! And she had this habit of scratching my shoulder to soothe herself when I put her to sleep.

So yes, it is normal, and probably something you will notice baby doing out of the womb too ๐Ÿคฃ

If you can pick up rabbits baby does know the womb, you will now baby better when they are born x

Infected c-section site and cold

Iโ€™m concerned as Iโ€™ve been on antibiotics for an infected c-section site. But have gotten a cold/flu like symptoms now (cough, sore throat, runny nose and headache). Having googled (worst thing I know) it says it could be possible sepsis, I have an appointment Tuesday for a review of previous antibiotics given. Would it be recommend to call maternity unit due to gp being closed over the weekend or do I wait till Monday to see if I can get an appointment then instead of Tuesday.

Any advice would be appreciated

Ultrasound

Iโ€™m pregnant with my 2nd baby. I just received first ultrasound results. And they put in the results that I have a small fibroid , small cystic lesion and a small subchorionic hematoma. Was wondering if anyone experienced any of those things? Iโ€™ve been having a lot of cramping too - wondering if one of these things are causing it ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Birth partner

Has anybody else not taken their husband /wife /partner with them when they went into labour? My husband came with me the first time but Iโ€™m genuinely thinking of taking my mum this second time around she hasnโ€™t asked me to or knows that I want her to maybe come. I just feel like my partner isnโ€™t reliable enough for me to get in touch with him all. Maybe itโ€™s done it once donโ€™t need to do it again situation I donโ€™t know but I thought it was normal to take your partner but maybe not for everybody?

Consistent tightenings

Iโ€™ve been having braxton hicks since about 1pm every 10ish minutes. Theyโ€™re not painful but itโ€™s been about 4.5 hours. Is there any chance this could be labour? Or just braxton hicks?

Cancelled elective c section

I was originally booked in for a low risk elective C-section on Thursday 17th. Was in my scrubs ready to and after being in hospital for nearly 8 hours I was told they couldnโ€™t do it due to emergencies.
Went back today (19th) and told I was the only one booked in but obviously any emergencies would be prioritised which I completely understand. Got ourselves really excited and prepared that after Thursdayโ€™s drama it would happen today. After being in hospital for another 5 hours we were sent home again and told to go back tomorrow.
Have to fast again and return first thing in the morning and been told again I am the only one listed (apart from emergencies again) but I just have absolutely no faith that they will actually do it tomorrow. Has anyone ever heard of an elective c-section being cancelled on the day 3 times?

Just to note I am 40+2 now and want to avoid the induction, hence the choice to go for elective C-section.

Can anyone give me any reassurance and any advice if I am again turned away tomorrow?
