This is very normal for a healthy pregnancy! I got 3 ultrasounds total every pregnancy!

I think 2 is very normal for a healthy pregnancy and actually means good things! We just scheduled our 4th because baby wasn't cooperating at our anatomy scan and they have been tracking a bright spot in the bowels and want to monitor growth rate

We had 9 week confirmation, 20 week anatomy, 24 anatomy follow up, and will go back at 28 weeks next month

I've had 2 at 9 weeks and 21 weeks. I won't have anymore related to the midwives. I did sign up for a fetal development study at a local teaching hospital so I get 3 free ultrasounds that are unrelated to my regular care.

Most practices do 2-3.
I get them once a month because I have dawn phenomenon (high fasting blood sugar) regardless of pregnancy and had GD in a previous pregnancy so they wanted to monitor. I was diagnosed with GD again so I'll stay with MFM throughout.
I often tell people its the silver lining of GD, I get to see my baby more often.

the only ultrasound i’ve had is the 20 weeks, i have one coming up because i measured small, but the only one the office allows is one at 20 weeks. and it’s just a normal ultrasound not an anatomy scan

I’m in Canada. 3 is normal here 1 dating , 1 12 week to check nuchal translucency, 1 20 week anatomy scan. I’m 40 so I’m scheduled for 4 extra growth scans in later pregnancy

So far I have had 2. 8 weeks and 20 weeks. Ill have one at 28 weeks bc my placenta was near my cervix so they have to check if it is still in the same place or moved up. Hoping for it to have moved bc otherwise I'll probably need a C-section

Avatar

2 is normal for healthy low risk pregnancies! i’m only getting them every 4 weeks because i’m high risk due to double uterus because it can cause things like growth restriction, pre term labor, etc

Am I making the right choice?

I have recently decided to go for an elective C-section.
If this was your last birth experience would you do the same? I know it’s an individual choice but I keep doubting myself but I just had such a bad time… 😞

It was a Vbac …. Ended with…

-episiotomy with forceps
-retained placenta
-2litres blood loss with transfusion.
-GBS positive (probably going to be positive again)
-since birth 4 years ago i have been having issues with bowel incontinence 🙈

Husband help

FTM
We have to have an early elective c section for medical reasons on Friday. My husband seems not to understand recovery at all, suggesting we have his brother's within the week and go out for dinner etc at 2 weeks as I should have 'recovered' by then. This seems too much to me, am I being unreasonable?

Questioning if I should be concerned

I had an etopic pregnancy last January which resulted in losing my right tube.

We just found out we were pregnant 2 weeks ago when I was 8dpo and since then, my line progression has done well. I ended up getting bloodwork done last week on Thursday which my hcg was 88 which I didn’t know until today after my ultrasound-

Today I am to be 5 weeks and 2 days well..

I had an ultrasound vaginal and stomach, I was told she couldn’t see anything and I was asking if we should be concerned. The nurse then told me what my hcg was on Thursday and said that it is very very early. I told her why we came early was to make sure we do not lose another tube. She said they wouldn’t see it until 6 plus weeks.

I just don’t know if I should be worried about her not seeing a gestational sac- nothing. And I was told to come back in 3 weeks.

Does my hcg of being 88 truly mean I am earlier then what I had thought.

Just looking for some comfort please, I don’t want to go through waves of feeling like everything is going to be alright and then crashing.

My line progression and flo dates I apparently ovulated on the 3rd of March

Should I be concerned. I am thinking to get more labs done to see what my hcg has went up to and hopefully they can tell me if it’s good or not.

12-18 month wait

Hi - my midwife said 12-18 month wait before having another baby post c section, I think I may be pregnant again too soon to test but I just have a feeling. I’m 8M PP, so baby would be due around December which would be 17-18 months. Has anyone had a second c section in this time frame? Is it 12-18 months from c section or to get pregnant after then?
