Am I losing supply? 🍼

Hey mamas

My son is just over two months old and we’ve been through a rough time with him being in and out of hospital with some pretty serious health scares.

I’m worried my supply has dropped due to stress and disruption. I never feel full now or leak like I did and he’s getting more angry at the boob and has dropped from the 25th to the 9th centile (unsure if this is because of supply or being poorly.

I could only breast / combi feed my first up to about 6 weeks due to supply but found this time around I had more than enough until recently.

I feed on demand every 1-2 hours so it’s not like my body isn’t getting the prompts. I used to get really full if he stretched it to 3 hours but not now

Any advice or experience on how breast feeding changes would be great. ♥️

First of all, that sounds tough! Hope you are alright and that baby feels better soon. Okay so a drop in percentiles obviously needs investigating. My son had a very bad tummy bug and dropped from 50 to 20 percentiles at 5 months. This wasn’t an indication of my supply. But it’s good to just exclude all options, so I would call the national breastfeeding helpline (number online, it’s free to call and 24-7) to talk it through with them

In terms of the fussiness this could well be this (see post). It says 10-12 weeks, but we went through this at 7-9 weeks, so it can be a bit earlier for some. Crazy phase but it only last 1-2weeks luckily

CPS?

Something’s wrong with me. My LG was wailing & crying & screaming & all I did was watch. Didn’t feel like picking her up to comfort her & still don’t.. should I just turn myself in?

Imposter Syndrome

Does anyone else feel like you have imposter syndrome being a mom?

I had my first a couple weeks before I turned 38 and I had already accepted I wouldn't have kids (not by choice).

I remember going to my appointments feeling like I wasn't as pregnant or really pregnant like the other patients in the lobby were. I often catch myself feeling like this isn't my life and I'm playing house my child. I love him so much, but I feel like this just isn't real. He's 15 months so I've had time to come to terms.

Has anyone else felt something like this? How did you get over it?

Brest feeding 6 months plus

Hi. Silly question but how does people navigate Brest feeding when baby gets their teeth? I never made it this far while b feeding my other two so I’m not sure what the next stages will look like.

When to stop C curl and restricted blankets?

May be too soon but just out of interest. When is it safe to no longer sleep in C curl around baby/child? My girl is 10 months but very long and I can no longer do C curl well 😅. Plus her whole bottom half is past my waist now which is where I keep the blanket too.

Nap times

My baby girl is currently 14 weeks old and we have been struggling with naps for a while now. We manage to get her down a few times a day however she does not sleep longer than 30 min.. I know this is the length of a sleep cycle so it is normal but she l never seems to be fully rested especially in the afternoon. She often wakes up looking tired but refuses to go back to sleep, or if I hold her and rock her to sleep there is no way of putting her down again. The evenings are a battle because of it as she gets over tired. Any tips or advise on how to lengthen her naps?
