Reducing formula feeds
I've just been told by my nursery that they wont give bottles of/and formula from 1 year one, my little boys 1 in 3 weeks.
Looking for advice on how to reduce his formula intake?
Hes loves both food and milk š«£ I think he will drink cows milk so that's not the issue im more concerned about the fact that hes in a routine with his bottles.

They can have whole milk from 1 year
With my first it took me 3 months to get her onto cows milk
Thatās absolutely wild, such a bad rule and Iām sorry you have to deal with that. But, baby could have normal full cream milk while at daycare if thatās a solution for you. The unfortunate thing is you shouldnāt substitute formula or bm feeds with milk before 1 so how are you supposed to slowly wean???

Does he drink cows milk at all?
For us to transition (ours wasnāt on a time constraint so this may not be as easy I know) we got one of the non spill sippy cups and started mixing cows milk with our milk and got his kindy to do the same. Eventually just upped the amount of cows milk and it also got him used to the sippy cup at the same time.
Iām sorry but this is wrong. What do they do if a baby still has formula in a bottle to go to sleep with or if they wonāt take cows milk as not every baby likes it?
Iād definitely be questioning it as my daughter at the age of 2 still has a bottle of soya milk for naps and bed (donāt come for me we tried multiple times to wean her off it and it just doesnāt work as itās a comfort thing for herš©)
Is the issue formula or that its in a bottle? I understand them saying no bottle (sort of) but the nursery shouldn't be allowed to decide what your child needs nutrition-wise. If they still need the formula, get a note from the pediatrician saying your child requires formula
My son is 16 months and still gets a bottle of milk when he wakes up before daycare. The rest of the day he drinks from sippy cups. Will your baby take milk in a different cup?
The daycare I work at gives 30 days to get off bottles and formula and onto whole milk. For breastmilk, it can be brought at any age, it just has to be in a sippy cup instead of a bottle.
What we do for formula or breastmilk after 1 is offer it with the meal or immediately after if they need time for the transition to whole milk
Thatās such an odd thing for a nursery to dictate. Although I stopped both mine on formula at 1 but itās up to the parent surely when they stop š¤¦š½āāļø

Hey mummies and daddies, has anybody got experience with baby not getting used to nursery? My daughter started at 12 months (a month ago) and still has a meltdown every time we drop her off. How long until it settles? I worry that sheās just not happy there :(

Night shifts
How are we doing night shifts with our partners?
My partner is back at work so I only wake him up for nappy changes (my back still kills me after c-section). I breastfeed and our little dude eats every 2-3 hours and then takes a while to settle again. I know if I passed him to my partner, it would just be another thing to wake baby up even more. And I feel bad because heās back at work.
So I spend most of the night awake.
3 weeks PP, so my milk supply is still calibrating and bottles arenāt an option until 5 weeks or so.
I also really struggle with day time sleeping and with going to bed early, so the idea of him taking baby 7pm-1am and me doing 1am-7am would also cost me sleep.
Iām so tired, Iām absolutely losing it š

6 weeks sleeping short
Is 2-3h sleep still normal for 6 weeks old? I thought they'd longer stretches by now

1st night home
Gave birth 3 days ago, very traumatic. Lost a lot of blood, didnāt get induced as planned.
Girl is very sensitive to startle reflux, we have had 1.24 hours sleep last night as she wonāt settle in her next to me crib.
We have tried swaddling which didnāt work and a grow bag. She is doing it every 30 seconds and scares herself. Bottled fed as BF for the first 2 days after birth but I cannot continue. Does anyone have any solutions?

Not sure whether anyoneās in the same boat, but Iām on about week 5 of sleep regression! LO is 4.5 months, his daytime naps are mostly ok, heās sleeping from around 7:30/8pm until midnight/1am ish, then from 2ish heās up every hour? Not seeking feeds just cuddling and rocking back to sleep.
He woke up at 5am for an hour and a half this morning, then slept 6:30-7:30, now seems to want a nap again? I follow his cues and he sleeps/ naps on demand. We have a bedtime routine of bath, story and feed.
Heās exclusively breastfed and weāre co sleeping for now to get through this rough patch (he is completely rejecting his NTM crib).
I know that they struggle to tie their sleep cycles together esp early hours of the morning, so it makes sense as to why this is happening but I guess Iām just looking for some advice (I mention it to family but just get the typical ātry formula and putting him in his crib, try a higher tog sleeping bag he might be coldā. ) We have tried one bottle of formula before, it didnāt work and tbh I donāt want to give him formula yet!

Sleep regression
Hate to be this person as I see so many babies/mamas on here being affected by this sleep regression but my baby is 20 weeks on Thursday and so far, we havenāt really struggled with nighttime sleep, she sleeps through and has done since 10 weeks. We are only really struggling with daytime naps (being super short). Has the nighttime sleep regression been delayed for any one else? Or have I just got really lucky?
