Speach
Hi all.
Started to stress about my little ones speach 21 months, and only says Mama and dada and babbles so much.
She can wave, give high five, clap hands, give a hand shake, blow kiss, blow Rasberries, blow bubbles. Can do a snake sounds.
She is always smiling when I'm talking/ trying to teach words but never says them. I know all kids do things in their own time. Should I be worried or just wait a little longer?

I went to a drop in session at the speech and language when I was worried and they were able to assess her. Are there any in your area? They seem to have really small waiting lists so hopefully you’ll get seen soon.
I could have written this myself!!! I have no advice as my daughter is the exact same but what I will say is… I try not to let it worry me. She may be considered ‘behind’ in terms of speech but she is the happiest, most confident and curious little girl and what she may lack in speech, she makes up for in different areas! Xx
