Contraception mini pill or implant

Been on both and the implant messed with my hormones soooo bad, been like 3 years since it’s been out and only started to get better from it now. Had “bleeding” for the whole year I had it in, cramp like pains CONSTANTLY, so much weight gain and honestly I could keep listing on things. Never had a problem with the pill personally. But also know people that have had the opposite experience, contraceptive is so different for each person, you just have to find the one that works for you

I have only heard bad things about the insert from everyone’s who had one. I’d go pill!

Anyone I know who’s had the implant has had issues with it

I went with the Nexplanon. Pills are too difficult to remember, IUDs are known for problems, and depo linked to serious problems

I've had the implant for 2 years and no issues. Had some occasional spotting but no actual periods. Will get it again when it needs replacing.

I’ve been on the mini pill and my mood swings were crazy, also my libido disappeared. I was constantly snappy, angry, moody and no desire to have sex, even when I tried having I was so dry and irritable that it felt like r*ape and obv no orgasm. This just pissed me off even more and I decided to stop taking the mini pill and now I feel fantastic. Nobody mentioned to me it can mess up my intimate life this much.

I got my implant back I loved my first one. Had no periods most of the 2.5 years I had it. The actual implantation isn’t too bad a sting or two of lidocaine then nothing. It will bruise but you’ll always know it’s there
