Fussy baby

My 12 day old has been fussing since 3am (4 hours). She had a 50 minute feed at that time and has been on and off the breast since but falls asleep very quickly when on, I have burped her, given a formula top up, walked around tried to soothe but nothing is working. Anyone else had this, is it just normal newborn behaviour or any other ideas of things to try?

when my baby was that little sometimes the ONLY thing that would help is the car! I would drive round in the middle of the night sometimes just so she could relax enough to go to sleep. She did have CMPA and silent reflux but it may help if you have one

I have been sitting here for hours with my 3 week old. As soon as he is settled in the cot and I lie down it starts again. Just one of those nights

Totally normal, you're doing amazing. Could be cluster feeding which really helps with your supply if you keep putting baby to breast. Are there any worries with weight gain or wet nappies? If no, then you may not need the formula top up (but if you want to combi feed then that's fine too, I just thought I'd mention as it doesn't always mean baby is hungry if they are fussy)

When did your baby start sleeping through the night?

My baby is 7 weeks old. It’s early for him to sleep through the night yet but I was curious to know what you’ve experienced.

And did you do anything special to make that happen?

I don’t like my baby today

I have two littles, 2 and 3 months. My husband is military and for the first time since our youngest was born, he’s gone for the weekend for training. This was my first real solo parenting experience with two kids, and I’m really hoping it gets better and this feeling goes away but I really don’t like my baby today.

My son is currently crashing out over bedtime in his room and I have to be in my room getting his sister to sleep and all I can think about is how much I wish she wasn’t here so I could go to my son. It’s not a gender thing at all, it’s a ā€œI’ve known him longer and had 21 months of molding our lives together and now suddenly this screaming thing is ruining itā€ thing.

I love her but I really don’t like her. Hopefully just tonight.
