I have a white filling in my front tooth that broke this morning - it's very obvious, looks terrible and I'm devastated.
It's very sharp where it's broken and feels sensitive but not painful. I phoned my dentist and I've managed to get an urgent appointment with them for 10:45 tomorrow morning.
I'm really hoping they'll be able to replace it for me, but am worried they'll refuse to do anything because I'm 8 months pregnant. Has anyone else had anything happen, or have any kind of experience that might inform on what they'll likely do tomorrow? I know it probably sounds really superficial, but this is such an insecurity for me and I don't want to look like this for long ðŸ˜

It will depend on how bad the chip is. They may put a temporary filling/composite bonding over it for the time being and they will get you in for a permanent fix after the baby is born.
I had a part of the filling fall out in my last pregnancy and they put a temporary filling in before I had to go back for a root canal after little one was born.

Ex ortho therapist here - you probably had a composite build up/bonding done before which they can still do this time no problem😊

This happened to me around 8 months pregnant last time and no they wouldn't replace it permanently, would only fit a temporary cover which did NOT look like my tooth!
I was devastated too, all my eldest sons newborn pictures I have a horrible gap!
But in the grand scheme, its all fine and you forget about it eventually with everything else going on.
They just won't risk any anaesthetic whilst pregnant. Well that is what mine said x
