Today I went in for a planned extra scan to check baby. My previous scan was done 3 weeks ago and they were measuring on the 27th percentile and weighing 4.1 and everything was looking good.
When I went in today baby is now measuring on the 75th percentile and it has only been 3 weeks and baby has gain nearly gain over 2 pounds.
Has anyone else had anyone this?
My husband and I did notice that the sonogram lady was measuring differently (trainee) to the ones who measured last time. Could the reading this time be inaccurate?

This happened to me when I was 32 weeks baby was measuring on 30th then I went back 3 weeks at 36 week and she was measuring 90th centile 🙈 now need to go back this week as I’m 38weeks to see if she’s still being this big at this stage as I may need to deliver earlier than 39 weeks as planned. Xx

It’s very likely where they’ve measured differently. Highly unlikely they’ve actually gained that amount of weight over 3 weeks x

In my last pregnancy I had a growth scan at 38w and they estimated baby at 4kg, the sonographer said ‘that can’t be right!’ and remeasured and next min the baby was magically 3.7kg … so he apparently lost 300g (10oz) in 10 mins 🤣 (and was then 4.2kg when he was born, so she was right the first time!)

I’m the opposite! Baby has been measuring 50th centile all the way through & now apparently she’s dropped to the 14th centile.. going back at 38 weeks for another scan.
She has another 10 days to gain around 1.5 lbs! (Ish)
All the midwives I’ve spoken to say to take it with a pinch of salt, there is room for error still… x
