Reduced movement

Hey. I was just thinking. What is considered as reduced movement? Assuming you normally feel your baby move 5 times a day. If they moved just 2 times on one day, 4 times the next, once the following day but next to 5 the day after. Is that reduced movement or irregular movement? At what point exactly do you call triage?

if you have any concern at all even if its a tiny niggle always just call and go into triage to get checked out x

Depends on how far along you are
Reduced movements is when you feel baby move all day or night of whatever the pattern is one day and then nothing or hardly anything the following day

Also you should be feeling baby move 10 times minimum a day

I find the information midwifes give you so conflicting because they say babies have a routine and will stick to that but some days my baby moves way more than others and to me thats his normal! But I have gone in 3 times now when he is having a quiet day because it stresses me out, i’d say to call and get checked if your ever concerned for a peace of mind rather than stressing yourself out! They will never make you feel silly for going in x

I think it depends, I feel baby moving most when laying down as I have anterior placenta and when im sat down eating or in the car for example but if I am up and moving around I dont always feel baby but as long as I feel baby in the morning and evening then I dont panic however I am 28 weeks tomorrow so I think it has been different

If you normally feel 5 times in a day and one day you feel twice that day is considered reduced.

I always feel first thing in a morning, last thing at night and when i've eaten (especially something sweet). I went in the day i didnt feel first thing because i had sugary cereal and still didnt feel anything- thats not my usual pattern

C-Section Infection

I'm almost 4 months postpartum and had a cat2 C-Section. Everything seemed fine when we had gotten home and then where the incision is became infected. Treated it with antibiotics from the doctors and it cleared up. After that it started to open up slightly in places and got infected again. More antibiotics and the openings closed but the infection stayed. I presumed it was just with it being underneath the overhang of my stomach and with the weather being so warm that it was just getting sweaty which was causing it. I got more antibiotics and a steroid/fungal cream which I've been using for a few weeks now but it still has a smell and looks red in places. Any advice before the doctors try to give me more antibiotics? I clean the area multiple times a day and let it air-dry as well as continuous use of the cream🫠

Considering a c section

I need the mamas that have had a c section done. I’m done having kids after this baby (I’ll have two after this one is born) my 2 year old was a vaginal birth. I’m tryna weigh out the pros and cons on having a c section. I wanna know your experiences, how long you were in the hospital for, what your recovery time was before you felt physically “normal” again like had no pain. Now I understand everybody is different with healing and pain tolerance. I just wanna get everyone’s opinion. Also if I were to have a c section would they do the tubal ligation right then and there or would I have to come back to get it done.

Nervous about my waters breaking 😅

This is my second and am so nervous as when and where my waters might break. With my first I was induced and they broke my waters. I know it’s not always like the movies where it’s the big gush but it still makes me so nervous. What if am out, or at toddler group or nursery run or something 🥲 I would hate to be in a public place and people end up making a fuss 😣 I know am over thinking all of this but I can’t help it!
