Anyone on second baby struggling to get three naps?

Tips please! With my son this was all very easy as a) everything was arranged around him and b) he fell asleep easily and everywhere.

My daughter can go 4+ hours without even looking sleepy while my son used to fall asleep where you put him down if he was tired. She needs to be properly put to bed or in a pram/car (but the vehicles must stay in motion!). If I manage a morning and afternoon nap though, there’s just no way to get a late afternoon/early evening one in.

My son is coming home from nursery, I need to cook, then we do bedtime. When she was smaller she took an evening nap for 20/30 mins just after that but now we’re staring to put her down at 7.30 we can’t do that.

This is with a totally 50:50 partner too. He does pick ups and looks after son while I cook (or vice versa) and then we alternate bath and storytime with our son after all having dinner together.

As she’s a very happy and non cranky baby I don’t know whether to just let it go and focus on making the two naps decent ones…but there’s a niggle saying she needs more day time sleep.

Any ideas/similar situations?

Yes but we're still on 4 naps. The nursery run often induces a really early but short first nap so need 4 in the day. Life doesn't revolve around her nap schedule like my first did so it's catching naps on the go whenever possible

I’m in the same situation. My eldest is 4 and I do the school pick up and husband does the drop offs in the morning.
I found it very hard to get that 3rd nap in before bed at 7pm/7.30pn. So the days he only has 2 naps I put him down earlier. I also try ( not always the case ) to ensure if it’s gonna be a 2 nap day I put him down for those naps when he is not too tired so they are decent naps. I also find sometimes my youngest just doesn’t wanna do a 3rd nap because he wants to be playing and getting involved with his older sister after school.
It’s not easy when you have 2+ and doing school or nursery picks up and drop offs.

We are on 3 naps but need to be upstairs in my bedroom on me. If he falls asleep downstairs while our oldest is home any little noise wakes him. Feels like I'm spending the majority of my day locked in my bedroom

We’ve been on 2 naps for about a month or more now. We only have 3 naps if it’s a very early wake up. x

Left over nappies

What do people do with leftover nappies when their babies go up a size, I have lots of size 1,2 and 3 from when my baby sizes up and im not sure what to do with them , binning seems wrong , charity and food and living banks only take them when it’s a sealed brand new pack , what do you do with your leftovers

Do you wash your hands after changing a nappy?

I've been to quite a few baby groups where I've noticed a lot of her mums don't wash their hands after they change their baby. they just change them in the room and then carry on with the class. Personally, I find it gross and the same as going to the toilet without washing your hands. I wondered whatever everyone else thought.

Lump in breast when breastfeeding

I have found a lump in my breast that is sore to touch and hard. It feels kind of moveable. Has anyone had this while breastfeeding? It’s not mastitis as I’ve had that a few times

Confession one time I met a cool mom on here

We hung out in person like 5 times and it seemed pretty good. Our kids got along. I was struggling with post partum depression and I missed a few of her texts and didn’t see and I convinced myself she ghosted me and I got super mad and I suppose she thought I did the same to her and we didn’t speak for like 3 months. Then we tried hanging out again and again convinced myself she didn’t like me and that there was weird vibes and we never spoke again. After my post partum went away I realize she never ghosted me and there wasn’t really anything weird. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️friendship lost.
