In UK - Anyone else get KIT (Keep In Touch) days with their work, I was thinking of starting to use them as early as this month, gave birth in Jan, did anyone else do similar or return quite early?

Just times are hard for everyone of course, this early on I will probs look to be doing 1/2 a month as KIT days not a complete return until November

I’ll be using up some KIT days to on training days. I get a maximum 10 KIT days for the whole of my maternity (which I’m taking the full year).

I used them to bump up my pay. I was only on Mat leave for 6 months before returning part time. I used my accrued annual leave to return on a full time contract for 2 months but have two days off a week. So I was working "part time" but being paid full salary. After this I'll be going part time contractually until September

I left it for when the SMP pay stopped to keep going for a couple months instead, was also a good reminder/ re-introduction after so long off work was fresh in my memory 😊

In my work place, the keeping in touch days, are paid at a full day rate, so only use them when you aren't already getting full pay, or the weeks when you are getting no pay! I think I worked it out, as if I use it when I'm on statory maternity pay I'll earn a whole £2 extra that week.... so deffo saving mine for when I'm on no pay!

Intense pressure down below?

Hi all! Getting close now....

Just wondering if anyone has any tips - I think my girl has dropped in the past few days as I've suddenly gotten constant intense pressure down below which is painful to walk or stand up with! No other signs of anything but it's very uncomfortable!

I've tried my pregnancy belt but it didn't help 🙈

Is it just me or no one thinks of the mom

Although I appreciate all the things for my baby I’m going on 32 weeks no one’s concerned about what I need during or after delivery

I have been told that stress can affect fertility. Obviously i am trying to control it but trying to conceive is a stressful time and i sometimes find myself crying , particularly when i am hormonal around ovulation, and worrying and then i feel guilty! Anyone offer any relief on this? Anyone ever concieved when under stress like this? Thanks in advance

Headache since 2am and high blood pressure with light headiness

I do have anaemia as well which can explain the symptoms, but would you go to triage for this blood pressure? I’m not sure at what point you go to triage. I’m 38.2 weeks for reference, my blood pressure is usually normal 117/75 etc around that ballpark. But how can they test for pre eclampsia because I’m scared of being induced for no reason, as the BP can also be explained by other things. I might sound stupid 😅 I’ve put the first BP here and the rest in the comments. P.S. my pulse is high because I get very anxious when I get unwell
