Ready made formula & powder -Kendamil

Please help- our 6 day old gets on so well with ready made formula but we’re trying to switch to powdered (due to cost and midwife telling us to do so).

We’ve slowly introduced the first bottle of the day as powdered and with infacol before but then struggles for the rest of the day getting wind up and is now really fussy☹️

Anyone have any tips or dealt with this?

Which formula is it? I’d suggest just trying to make sure there’s as fewer air bubbles in the bottle as you possibly can if she’s struggling to bring up wind.
If you’ve got tiktok there’s some good videos to watch on different ways to help bringing up the wind and different positions to try x

It’s really normal transition period, their belly getting used to the change but stick it out and it should get better! X

Hey girl! Swirl the bottle instead of shake it where possible. My boy was the same early on and it just takes time - their tummies are so small! You got this, hang in there x

So the powder is thicker x
Stick to the Infacol but wind longer then you think he needs

I’ve heard (and this is not backed up by my own experience or any science) that Kendamil is harsher on the stomach than some others.

Also swirl, don’t shake, like Abbie said.

Also how are you prepping the formula? Are you using a prep machine by any chance? X

What bottles are you using, I used the mam anti colic ones and there were barely any bubbles and didn't have any trouble with wind... x

Kendamil didn’t agree with my son when he was a baby, he was really uncomfortable and gassy. I switched to SMA and it was an instant change.

Don't shake the milk, swirl like others have said. I used dentinox which you can use from birth and then when she turned a month old I used gripe water and she gets more wind up now but still struggles at times. Try and burp throughout feed and try pace feeding. Hope you find something that works for you x

Binky after 6+ months?

So my son has recently turned 6 months and a week or so. I wanted to know what you guys are doing binky wise? Are you weening or ? Because I have only been letting or giving him his when he cry’s super bad having a hard time sleeping or if he grabs it himself. Doing it this way I have noticed him slowly put the binky down himself but maybe I’m moving too early?

3 month baby lost most of her hair?

Hey all - my 3 month old has lost almost all her hair 😢 she looks like Groundskeeper Willy right now. She has a bit of cradle cap, but the hair lost is a ring around her head. Is this expected? She was my little ginger haired girl 🥺

ER visit

Took my 4 year old last night to the Er with a ear infection. They asked her two questions “Donyou feel safe at home ? She reply no . Does any one hurt you she reply big bubba .

Okay ladies this is not true . Her and her big bubba wrestle and play fight . And I honestly don’t think she understood the first question . I’m freaking out and wondering if I will get CPS on me

Unbelievable

My MIL told my husband that I should be breastfeeding(nursing) and that pumping is not the right way to feed my baby….
Anyone else thinks that’s wild??

Maternity bralettes

Hi ladies, I’m looking for recommendations for natural material (cotton, bamboo, etc) padded bralettes.

I’m a 23 weeks pregnant with a very small chest but wide back. I’ve always been blessed that I can wear bralettes and looking for some that I can wear now and for breastfeeding that have some padding so my nips don’t show 😅 I’m also very aware that my boobs should be getting bigger later on so a bit unsure about sizing if anyone has any advice. Thanks ❤️

Olbas Oil

My 11 week old is really congested and struggling with a cold. The infant olbas oil says unsuitable for under 3 months. I think I’m just paranoid, but will we be okay to use it? And if so how is best to use it?
