So my son has recently turned 6 months and a week or so. I wanted to know what you guys are doing binky wise? Are you weening or ? Because I have only been letting or giving him his when he cry’s super bad having a hard time sleeping or if he grabs it himself. Doing it this way I have noticed him slowly put the binky down himself but maybe I’m moving too early?

Wait my son is 8 months and he still uses a pacifier

No😂it’s only bad when they’re still in a buggy at 4+ years old😂😂or on one of those baby walking leashes. He’s still fresh out the womb, if that’s his comforter let them have it! Bad? Not even close, it’s a baby. It’s just bad if you let them cry it out and I’m don’t soothe them.

My first flat out rejected the dummy at 6 months so we just took it away. My second rejected it from birth so never forced it on him. Sounds like you're making a move towards no dummy. Just keep watching his queues and when he puts it down and see how you get on

The best thing you can do for your kids is keep the screens away from them even in the car. They can look out the window, you can put on the radio and jam to the tunes with them to see what they like and make them smile. Let them have their dummies just not past 3 because that’s when they’re meant to be almost ready for school, and you don’t want them being a cry baby as they call it all their life, where they expect to be suckled😂then you’ve got a problem on your hands aka mamas boy or they’re really immature as they get older. That’s when you should show a little tough love. (I didn’t mean for anything to sound harsh, sorry, my upbringing everyone is very straightforward)

My son is 2 1/2 and has a pacifier for 18-36 months

My son doesn’t use a binky, never has he doesn’t like them at all. Which honestly I’m okay with cause idk if I want that fight lol I’ve seen some mommas have a difficult time trying to ween baby from binky.

My son just turned 2 and only uses it for sleep. My dentist said not to worry about it yet, especially if it’s only used for sleep! If you’re really worried about it I’d start with not using it during the day then when he’s developed other self soothing skills work on sleep time

i took my daughters at cold turkey at 8 months. she was fussy for a few days but after about 5 ish days she was fine.

My baby is 6months, she doesn't have any teeth yet but is teething and I wanna say like 33% of the time she is chewing on other parts of her pacifier instead of suckling.

You don’t have to wean them yet if you don’t want to or if both of you aren’t comfy. Of course the sooner the better, but normally the dentist is going to tell you anytime before 3, but it’s best to start by 12-14 months for an easier transition.

My son is 19 months and we stopped letting him have his pacifier for comfort reason around 13 months. Then around 16 months we removed it for car rides and naps. Now he only has it at night to sleep. I wouldn’t stress too much about it. We took it away during the day because then he wouldn’t talk. Every persons reason is different and that’s okay

Both mine had them until they were 18m / 2 years old , it is hard enough as it is at 6 months old don’t make your life harder taking it away especially if used for sleep
WHEN DOES THE WHINING STOP?!? I am so fed up with it. I’ve had a headache for the last 19 days because my son (17m) whines about EVERY. SINGLE. THING. And screams all the freaking time.

Hey all - my 3 month old has lost almost all her hair 😢 she looks like Groundskeeper Willy right now. She has a bit of cradle cap, but the hair lost is a ring around her head. Is this expected? She was my little ginger haired girl 🥺

Took my 4 year old last night to the Er with a ear infection. They asked her two questions “Donyou feel safe at home ? She reply no . Does any one hurt you she reply big bubba .
Okay ladies this is not true . Her and her big bubba wrestle and play fight . And I honestly don’t think she understood the first question . I’m freaking out and wondering if I will get CPS on me

My MIL told my husband that I should be breastfeeding(nursing) and that pumping is not the right way to feed my baby….
Anyone else thinks that’s wild??

Hi, was just wondering if there is any advice for a new mum with a baby girl who is 16 days old with her going for a poo. Her belly isn’t hard or anything but she seems to be going like every 4/5 days without a poo is this normal? I’ve been doctors twice now they are not bothered. So just wanted to hear some advice or experiences. Because I feel like this isn’t normal so would love to help her.
I do the moving legs daily, also bath sometimes helps but not all the time.
