Constipation

Hi, was just wondering if there is any advice for a new mum with a baby girl who is 16 days old with her going for a poo. Her belly isn’t hard or anything but she seems to be going like every 4/5 days without a poo is this normal? I’ve been doctors twice now they are not bothered. So just wanted to hear some advice or experiences. Because I feel like this isn’t normal so would love to help her.
I do the moving legs daily, also bath sometimes helps but not all the time.

is she breastfed? I find it odd that they don’t care with a 4/5 day gap between going but then if she’s breastfed they tend to not be as worried as formula babies! you can always give an ounce maximum of cooled boiled water as that’s what I was advised by the health visitor but I would probably ring them to triple check it’s okay first xx

It's less frequent than is ideal at that age (once they're about 6 weeks I wouldn't be concerned with only going once a week but at that age, you want them to be going more frequently than 4/5 days really)

How are you feeding? What is the consistency of the poo like when it does come?

Formula definitely constipate them as breastfeeding usually wouldn't. If on the third day no poo I'm at the GP and they usually give laxative to help with that.

The Gp's on your end are being very considerate! Poor little one. I know the heartache of seeing them go through trying and its not coming. What helped for my little one is if you see her forcing to move her legs back and forth and also pushing her butt cheeks to get it out x

Speech

How many words does your 18mo have? We've got about 6/7 and have been told by nursery and the health visitor thats the lower end/slightly behind. She understands very well, but rarely uses the words she knows and was a late babbler.

Just wondering if anyone else had been through the same with any advice to help her speech?

Need some advice

My baby is on cow and gate and has been for the last 2 weeks. I introduced breast alongside but she is refusing to latch because of the confusion and is getting frustrated when I’m trying to feed. However I’ve now stopped (for my mental state) she’s now showing signs of being very uncomfortable and straining and isn’t pooing until over 48 hours. We have been to the doctors and they have said because she is showing signs of uncomfortableness and straining to switch formulas. However they said not to use cow and gate comfort as it sits in the stomach longer.

Does anyone have any recommendations for formula that will help her bowels?

Whining??

WHEN DOES THE WHINING STOP?!? I am so fed up with it. I’ve had a headache for the last 19 days because my son (17m) whines about EVERY. SINGLE. THING. And screams all the freaking time.

Dummies?!

Looking for some advice, my nearly 5 week old baby will suck on a dummy for around 1-2 mins then spits it out and start fussing again that he wants it, sometimes he will even wake up from a nap for it. This will continue until he falls into a deep sleep and eventually when the dummy falls out he won’t wake back up . He will also settle without a dummy so does he maybe just not want it or are the dummies too big for his mouth I’m not sure 😩 we have tried the mam newborn orthodontic ones and the tommee tippee 0-2 month (the teat on these are a lot bigger). He is also formula fed, has anyone else been through this if so all advice welcome 🙏🏻
