Stem cell collection at birth

I would have liked to donate but when I looked into it it seemed to only be available in a couple of hospitals in London

I had a look into this but it was basically only potentially really useful for siblings and we probably won't get to have any, or if there is a history in the family of certain blood/immune conditions. It can't be used for some genetic diseases/things like leukemia for the child it's taken from because the stored cells have the same issue. I didn't realise you could do public cord donation tho - will look into that.
