I am having frequent reduced movements, 32 weeks pregnant. I have extra monitoring and bi weekly CTGs. Can I request to have an earlier elective section because of this? Anyone in the UK thats had a similar experience?

I think it depends on personal circumstances. I would just speak with your consultant about it, as someone on here could say one thing and then your consultant might say another. Best to go straight to medical professionals x

You can request it, but unless they have concerns they may not do it earlier because they’ll want you to go as long as possible. I was up every week towards end with RFM and as there were no concerns with CTG’s or scans, I went to term at 38 weeks. It was booked for 38+4 but he came at 38 + 1 x

Just speak with your GP and midwife and if they deemed that your pregnancy is high risk, they should assign a consultant so they can proceed with further checks and discuss any potential earlier elective section x
Thanks all. I am already consultant led due to a family history of preeclampsia and baby is measuring very big. Will speak to him at my 36 weeks appointment x

Keep talking to maternity day every time you have reduced movements. They may want to do your c section earlier due to yhe reduced movements. It may just be classed as an emergency rather then a planned if need be (just mean you dont wait really)
