Help

Is anyone else suffering Reflux but in the sense of it feels like there are permanent gas bubbles stuck in your throat and it makes you feel a bit nauseous? I take omeprazole of the doctor and I have been using Rennie deflatine but still seem to have the sound of the trapped wind in my throat

I had his a lot in my first pregnancy and lying flat was really hard because of it. I found drinking a fizzy drink and (it sounds mad….) twisting my upper body side to side helped release some of the gas. I think I even got my husband to burp me at one point I was so desperate 😂

Yeah my throat was all gurgly like a burp was stuck. I used to have to sleep sitting up too. My son had lots of hair so maybe the old wives tail is true! I really feel for you as it was really unpleasant

Sadly it lasted until I had my son so I am sorry if this is the same for you! Only the shaking my shoulders to release gas and being upright. I used to kind of bang/tap on my chest to help release bubbles too. I think I had to make sure there was a good few hours between eating and going to bed too. Maybe see if the GP can increase your omeprazole dose?? Xx

postpartum

so i will be 4 months pp this friday and since i gave birth my appetite has been, well, non existent. as well as my ability to even drink anything. before pregnancy i could probably drink 8 water bottles in a day now it seems like i could go all day with just having a one sip of anything and not finishing it. i can’t catch up on sleep, even when i do it’s not enough or im still sleepy. i don’t have any energy to do anything.. not even get up out of bed. any thoughts?

Vaginal birth vs Elective C-section

I’m struggling to decide - leaning towards an elective c-section, and these are my reasons:

-Struggle with not being in control, and would feel calmer knowing how and when my baby is going to arrive
-Traumatic experience having an IUD fitted - nurse couldn’t get the ‘normal’ sized one in due to my cervix being ‘tight’, and ended up having unbearable contraction-like pain during the procedure
-I’m small and can’t imagine how I could possibly deliver a baby naturally without complications! I just don’t trust that I can do it unfortunately.

I really want to exclusively breastfeed and am worried about this being harder after an elective c-section due to milk not coming in for a while. But also think if I go for a natural birth I’ll definitely need interventions i.e. epidural/episiotomy… and possibly even emergency c-section.

Anyone have any advice or been in a similar position?

Girl names for baby #3 🩷

I’m currently 16 weeks with baby girl after having two boys. We have Flynn and Austin (who goes by Ozzy). Looking for some name suggestions to go with her big brothers, something not too popular but not too out there either. I’ve been finding I don’t seem to be drawn to names that are too girly if that makes sense. Any help or suggestions would be amazing 🥰
